Final Graduation for the EGADE Class of June 2023 Held in Mexico City

The EGADE Class of June 2023 Graduations came to a close with an emotive ceremony in Mexico City, in which graduates from EGADE Business School Santa Fe site and Querétaro celebrated the culmination of their postgraduate studies.

The event took place on June 29 in the Sports Hall of Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Campus Santa Fe, and was broadcast live on live.tec.mx and EGADE Business School’s social media Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.

A total of 80 master’s degrees and 3 doctorates were awarded to graduates from different cities in Mexico, and from another five countries (Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, and the United States).

Per program, there were 2 graduates from the Master in Administration; 63 from the EGADE MBA; 15 from the Master in Finance (MAF); 1 from the Ph.D. in Administrative Sciences (DCA); and 2 from the Ph.D. in Financial Sciences (DCF).

Two graduates were awarded summa cum laude at the master’s level:

  • Viridiana Nava García, EGADE MBA, with the highest grade average in both her program and her generation.
  • Julián Ricardo Herrara Rojas, MAF, with the highest grade average in his program.

For their part, the doctoral alumna and alumni received an institutional medal in addition to their academic degree:

  • Manuel Sotelo Duarte, DCA.
  • Jesús Antonio López Cabrera, DCF.
  • Pamela Soledad Moncayo Mejía, DCF.

The graduation in Mexico City was presided over by Laura Cruz, president of Division North and the Caribbean for Latin America at Mastercard; Horacio Arredondo, dean of EGADE Business School; Ricardo Úbeda, associate academic dean of EGADE Business School; and Ernesto Amorós, associate dean of Faculty at EGADE Business School.

In her message as the guest speaker, Cruz urged the graduates to reflect on what they will do with the high-impact knowledge and networking they have obtained in order to give back to society.

Representing his generation, Héctor Silva Elizondo, EGADE MBA, congratulated his fellow graduates for their dedication, perseverance, and achievements.

“I am certain that each and every one of you has the potential to become inspiring leaders capable of generating positive, sustainable change in organizations and in society. Let’s always keep our passion for learning and reinventing ourselves alive, our commitment to making the world a better place. We should never forget that our responsibility as the leaders of leaders is to transcend our own goals and contribute to the collective, sustainable well-being,” he said.

Finally, Arredondo led the new EGADE alumni in taking the pledge.

Prior to this ceremony, the graduations of the Class of June 2023 of the EGADE Monterrey and Guadalajara sites took place on June 24 and 28, respectively.
