Take your tests

The PAEP (Admissions Test for Graduate Students)

The PAEP is designed to assess your strengths, skills and knowledge in order to qualify for one of our graduate programs. The test is divided into five categories: verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, integrated reasoning,  writing and English proficiency.

Click here to register for the PAEP Prep Test.

If the PAEP test is not available near you, then you may take the GMAT (click here to see each program's code) , the GRE (destination code: 7433), and the EA (Executive Assessment, apply here).

Please ask your admissions counselor for application dates in your city.

English proficiency test

As a candidate for any of the EGADE Business School programs, you must demonstrate an advanced level of English proficiency through authorized tests.

The authorized English proficiency tests are the following

  • If taken at any of the Tec de Monterrey campuses:
    • TOEFL ITP (on demand)
    • Bulats
  • If taken at any other institution:
    • TOEFL IBT (destination code : B554)
    • IELTS

    • ILEC

The test scores are valid for two years after taking the test and must be in effect on the first day of school.

Candidates who can prove that they have obtained a bachelor's or master's degree in an English-speaking country do not need to take nor present a certification of an English proficiency test.

Get your letters of recommendation

Candidates need to submit at least two letters of recommendation

Each letter should describe specific examples that illustrate your professional skills and qualifications. We recommend asking people who really know you (not family members), who you have worked for, and who you have stayed in touch with over the past few years. It is important to include specific examples.

There are no restrictions regarding the format, however, as a suggestion, the letter may answer questions such as:

  • "What is your relationship with the candidate and how long have you known him/her?"
  • "In your opinion, what is the candidate's greatest quality? Which traits describe him/her as an exceptional colleague or employee?
  • “How do the candidate's performance, personal strengths, and potential stand out from others in similar positions or roles?”

In addition, the letter must contain the following information:

  • The candidate's full name
  • The program the candidate is applying for
  • Referrer's full name and signature
  • Referrer's company, position, and seniority
  • Contact details: address, telephone, and email
  • If possible, on letterhead
Write your essay

Your essay or statement of purpose is an opportunity to introduce yourself to the Admissions Committee and provide an insight into your experience, goals and thought processes.

This document must be addressed to EGADE Business School and we expect to find at least the following ideas concisely expressed:

  • What is your motivation for studying a graduate program at EGADE Business School?
  • What will you bring to the program, your classmates and EGADE Business School?
  • What are your professional aspirations?

If appropriate, please provide any additional information you consider to be relevant for the Admissions Committee. This may include motives for idle periods, high job rotation, or a more detailed explanation of your academic record.
There are no restrictions on the length of your essay, but we do recommend for it to be at least 650 and no more than 750 words long.

Prepare your resumé

You must also submit your resumé in any format you may like to use. However, it should include all the information about your professional experience and academic information detailing dates, responsibilities, and main achievements.

You may include other activities such as volunteering, part-time jobs, or extracurricular activities.

Schedule your interview with the program director or faculty member

Your admissions counselor will assign you an interview with the director or faculty member of the program you are interested in. For this interview you must have your resumé, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose and academic transcript.

Submit your official documentation

You must prove to have at least finished a bachelor’s degree and make sure that this degree is valid in Mexico.

  • Your official transcript
  • Cédula profesional (occupational license) only for Mexican students
