First-Generation EGADE - W. P. Carey Executive MBA Begins Classes

The Class of 2022 of the international dual degree program is comprised of high-performing executives from Mexico, Colombia, India and the United States.

Classes for the new EGADE - W. P. Carey Executive MBA began with 24 senior leaders who form part of the program’s first generation.

“I have great confidence in you, this group of highly resilient leaders, in what will be an impressive class,” stated Ignacio de la Vega, Dean of EGADE Business School, during yesterday’s welcome session.

The EGADE - W. P. Carey Executive MBA Class of 2022 is comprised of high-performance executives from Mexico, Colombia, India and the United States, with an average age of 39 and 14 years of professional experience.

The students in the group play diverse leadership roles in regional and global companies, and startups they have founded, in the areas of Finance, Life Sciences, Technology, Consulting, Media, FMCG, Industry and Services.

EGADE - W. P. Carey Executive MBA brings together the best of these two globally accredited and renowned business schools in an international dual-degree program, designed and taught jointly by EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey and W. P. Carey School of Business - Arizona State University (ASU).

Carey Executive MBA students are joining a distinguished network of global leaders made up of 120,000 students and alumni from both schools, who hold executive positions in multiple sectors and industries across 160 countries.

Igor Rivera, Director of the EGADE - W. P. Carey Executive MBA at EGADE Business School, and Tom Bates, Associate Professor and EMBA Faculty Director at W. P. Carey School of Business, attended the session.

The 15-month executive program, designed to be delivered in Mexico City, was launched in a virtual format, with the possibility of migrating to a hybrid structure as the COVID-19 pandemic circumstances change.
