The honoree earned a Master in Business Economics at EGADE Business School; the prize-giving ceremony took place within the 2023 Annual Alumni Meeting.

Seeking to honor her outstanding leadership and professional excellence, Silvia Dávila, regional president for Latin America and CEO Mexico of Danone, has been distinguished by EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey with the 2023 EGADE Alumni Achievement Award.
This recognition is awarded annually to an EGADE Business School alumna or alumnus who, in his or her professional life, has had a positive impact on businesses, organizations and society.
Dávila, a graduate of the Master in Business Economics from EGADE Business School, accepted her prize during the 2023 Annual Alumni Meeting, held on September 2 at the Tec Mexico City Campus.
“I am extremely honored to receive the Alumni Achievement Award. This recognition encourages me to forge ahead and is a reminder that education transforms lives. There’s no limit to what we can do. Each and every one of the EGADE Business School graduates are leaders in a Mexico that needs us. I would like to invite you to carry on creating and to use your talent to achieve a better community, better businesses and a better country,” Dávila said.
The award winner forms part of a select group of 22 alumnae and alumni of Tecnológico de Monterrey who this year received the Alumni Achievement Award through the different campuses and schools of the institution.

Day after day, Silvia demonstrates an exceptional commitment to professional excellence, inspirational leadership, a profound sense of social responsibility, and a constant search for innovation. She is, without doubt, a role model for our community,” declared Horacio Arredondo, dean EGADE Business School.
Since 2013, the year in which the Award was instituted, its goal has been to recognize the alumnae and alumni who have had a positive impact on Tecnológico de Monterrey and the community, in order to showcase their achievements in areas such as business development, education, science and research, public service, human rights, volunteering, philanthropy, the arts, or sports.
ABOUT THE AWARD WINNER
Silvia Dávila has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing, business development and coaching.
While still a university student, she began her career at McDonald’s México (1989), and, on graduating, joined Procter & Gamble in 1992. In 2004, she moved to Mars México, where, in 2007, she was appointed General Manager of the Chocolate division. In 2010, she became General Manager of the Pet division and then, in 2014, VP and Global Food Chief Marketing Officer for Mars in Belgium.
In 2017, she joined Danone as Regional President for Latin America. She was recently appointed President of EDP & Waters businesses, Latin America, and sits on the Executive Committee of Grupo Danone Global.
Silvia is a strategic leader who drives the development of ideas that promise transformational growth, building solid foundations to offer results today and in the future.
Furthermore, she is passionate about inclusion, women’s development and coaching issues. She is co-chair of CGF LATAM (Consumers Good Forum); board member of Danone Ecosystems; board member and fellow of the International Women’s Forum; member of YPO and Women’s Corporate Directors; and coordinator of the Inclusion and Diversity Forum, CCE and Global Compact Mexico.
She has been included on the list of the most powerful women in business of the magazine Expansión, among other rankings.
