EGADE Decalogue: Do you know its proposals regarding education and talent development?
-

The country needs to align agents of education with the new technological contexts as a priority in order to strengthen their impact on development and competitiveness, states the Decalogue for the Economic-Business Refounding of Mexico.

In order to participate actively in the economy of the future, Mexico must urgently address the topic of education, since, in March, the contingency put the country’s educational systems to the test, making an accelerated migration to interactive distance and hybrid learning models essential, while increasing inequality and the social gap.

Therefore, in keeping with the ten points of the Decalogue for the Economic-Business Refounding of Mexico, recently published by EGADE Business School, education must be the pillar on which society is built, thereby developing a country’s talent potential, which is particularly sensitive to the dynamism and changes experienced and demanded by the world and the new generations.

In this regard, the proposals of the Decalogue can be summarized as:

  •  Align universities and agents of education with the new economy and the new technological contexts resulting from the Fourth Industrial Transformation as a priority in order to strengthen their impact on Mexico’s development and competitiveness.

  • Focus on the development of local talent in competencies such as disruptive leadership, entrepreneurship with values, holistic innovation, business intelligence, digitization of the value chain, and humanistic business and organizational management.

  • Reimagine education in the face of exponential technological change, to obtain a flexible physical and digital learning model that includes artificial intelligence, virtual reality and other exponential technologies.

  •  Combine “hard” competencies and cutting-edge knowledge with power skills, such as creativity, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial mindset and the capacity to solve complex problems, in order to integrate human work with artificial intelligence.

  •  Create a culture of lifelong learning as the great challenge to avoid talent obsolescence and the competitiveness gap.
