Francisco Chávez Montalvo, EGADE MBA alumnus, has published the book Carrerapedia: La guía práctica para crecer profesionalmente, a practical professional growth guide in which he shares individual principles and strategies to design a career plan.
“Based on my personal and professional experience in Human Resources, I wrote this book to offer people a toolkit for developing their own career plan,” said Chávez Montalvo, who is also an adjunct professor at the Undergraduate Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
The author explained that many of the beliefs and paradigms about how to manage a professional career should be challenged and demystified.
“I detected this real need, and my objective was to share diverse reader-friendly advice, models, exercises and what I deem to be the 10 pillars for building a successful career plan,” he commented.
His book is oriented towards people who are interested in driving their professional career in any type of organization from any sector.
Although not its main focus, the book also provides tools for team leaders and colleagues in Human Resources seeking to advise their collaborators on how to manage their professional careers.
In addition, the book contains some useful resources for independent entrepreneurs and professionals.
Chávez Montalvo, apart from being an EGADE Business School graduate, holds a B.A. in Organizational Psychology from Tec de Monterrey, and has a solid professional background in the area of Human Resources in transnational corporations.
Carrerapedia, which is independently published, is available on Amazon.
