The responsibility and role of companies in making a positive contribution to the development of people and their communities was the topic addressed in the latest webinar of the EGADE Future Forum series.
The session, titled “Conscious Enterprise for a More Prosperous Society”, was moderated by Christiane Molina, Director of the Conscious Enterprise Center at EGADE Business School.
“A wider impact is required, and companies should join forces, share successful practices and form a community of trust, of committed people,” stated Cícero Willis, Director of the Eugenio Garza Sada Center.
Javier Arteaga, Development Director at the supermarket chain Merco Supermercados, commented that companies should drive initiatives that will help their collaborators achieve their personal goals.
“If you are going to generate a business venture, instead of writing about what you are going to do, it would be better to define how it will benefit the world and how it can inspire your customers, collaborators, and partners,” Arteaga added.
Molina highlighted that last year, EGADE Business School, committed to the Mexican business and entrepreneurial ecosystem, launched the Decalogue for the Economic and Business Refounding of Mexico, which lists key aspects for reactivating the country through a more conscious business model in the face of the COVID-19 challenges.
