Artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved beyond traditional automation tools. Now, AI agents generate content and learn, make decisions, and autonomously adapt within companies, transforming productivity and collaboration in the business world.
In this new episode of Territorio Negocios, hosted by Alicia Galindo, adjunct professor at EGADE Business School del Tecnológico de Monterrey, the discussion focused on how these agents reshape the workplace.
Diego Halffter, partner at Brain Food, and Alejandro Correa, research professor at the Center for Digital Evolution at the Tec Business School, participated in the conversation.
Halffter noted that, according to Gartner, more than 50% of routine tasks in companies will be automated through artificial intelligence agents, increasing productivity by up to 40% by 2030.
For his part, Correa highlighted the impact on software development and digital content creation.
"The number one area where I have seen exponential productivity in my work is coding. Today, I use about four or five agents running on my computer that help me code nearly 10 times faster," he shared.
Both experts agreed that these advancements do not mean a complete replacement of workers but rather an opportunity to enhance human skills.
"We will not be replaced by AI; that is far from reality. We are going to be empowered by AI," said Correa.
They also pointed out that adapting to this technology will require a shift in organizational culture and the development of new skills.
Episode 196 of Territorio Negocios is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube.
