She will lead EGADE Business School's outreach efforts with the business community in Mexico City and Querétaro.

EGADE Business School of the Tecnológico de Monterrey announced the appointment of Mercedes Poiré Romero as Director of the EGADE Business School Santa Fe site.
In her role, Poiré Romero will lead the outreach efforts to connect EGADE Business School with its stakeholders in Mexico City and Querétaro, with a special focus on the business community.
"Mercedes' career demonstrates her commitment to innovation and global impact in education, as well as her ability to lead international teams and formulate business strategies," said Horacio Arredondo, Dean of EGADE Business School.
With more than 20 years of professional trajectory, Poiré Romero has vast experience in higher education and educational consulting.
Before joining EGADE Business School, in January 2023, she worked as a Consultant for the Minerva Project to support the development of educational innovation projects for two large universities in our country, and in September 2022, as a Consultant for the Global EdTech Alliance to contribute to the formation of the Universidad de la Libertad in Mexico City.
At the beginning of 2012, she joined Universidad del Valle de México (UVM) to create and direct the Center for Public Opinion (COP, by its initials in Spanish) to carry out applied research projects on issues of public interest related to the disciplines taught at the University. In 10 years, the COP has done more than 120 studies.
In addition, with the COP team, she designed the National Alumni Survey, the data collection methodology, and the data analysis protocol. During this same period, she served as Spokesperson for the COP.
From 2017 to February 2022, she was the Rector of UVM Campus Santa Fe and Campus Chapultepec.
She also collaborated at Casa de Bolsa Inverlat as Manager and Deputy Director of Training and Development for five years and 17 years at CINCO (Consultoría en Investigación de Mercados y Opinión Pública), part of Grupo ZIMAT, in the design, interpretation, and analysis of studies of public opinion and organizational climate.
Poiré Romero has a Bachelor's in Administration from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. She has a Master's degree in Global Business Administration from UVM.
