The academic received the prize consisting of a medal and a diploma from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, during the valedictory session of the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention, in the city of Indore, in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Rajagopal was particularly distinguished for his contributions to education among 27 men and women of Indian origin who received the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award in its 2023 edition.

Through social laboratories, he has infused business orientation among farm and non-farm entrepreneurs from 1984 to 2001. He is also credited for the synergy between the higher education systems of India and Mexico,” highlights an official publication of the awards.
