EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey has announced the appointment of Horacio Arredondo as its new dean.
Among his main responsibilities, Arredondo will be in charge of continuing to strengthen the academic offering and add diversity of thought and leadership, thereby accelerating the growth demanded by Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Vision towards 2030. He will also be contributing the experience he acquired in managerial and academic management roles in private industry and educational institutions in South America and Europe.
Juan Pablo Murra, rector for Higher Education at Tecnológico de Monterrey, said: “As part of the positioning strategy in our postgraduate business programs and the focus required by our strategic commitments at EGADE Business School, we will be persisting in engaging global talent to assure the continuity of current results is a priority. Horacio’s comprehensive profile, built from working in the financial sector, consulting, his own business ventures, and management in executive academic positions, undoubtedly allows him to display genuine, transcendent, high-performance leadership. We are convinced that he will bring value, experience, and a sense of humanity to complement the current talented team and facilitate the strategies we seek for EGADE and Tecnológico de Monterrey.”
Arredondo holds an MBA from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and, at IE Business School, he earned a Master’s in Research Methodologies for Science and is a Doctoral candidate in Administration and Business.
He has also served as a board member in a variety of companies and institutions in Chile, and is an active speaker on and advocate for topics related to family businesses, business strategy, and organizational transformation.
The new dean of EGADE Business School stated: “Forming part of this great institution is an enormous honor for me, while leading EGADE Business School in contributing to the transformation of companies and leaders in Mexico and Latin America is a huge responsibility.
