This award, considered the highest institutional award for teaching work, was given to five Undergraduate and Graduate professors and three from Prepa Tec.

"We congratulate the professors with very inspiring trajectories that we are recognizing; in their stories, there is a constant that has to do with the vocation and conviction to transform lives," said David Garza, Tec's Rector and Executive President.

In addition to Garza, the award ceremony was led by Juan Pablo Murra, rector of Professional and Postgraduate; Raquel Castaño, Vice Chancellor of the Faculty; and Ignacio de la Vega, Executive Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Faculty, and Internationalization.

Guerra Leal is a professor in the Department of Marketing and Business Intelligence at EGADE Business School and program director for the EGADE MBA in Monterrey and the double degree EGADE - UNC Charlotte MBA in Global Business & Strategy.

In addition to Guerra Leal, Marilena Antunes, Jaime Mora, Ramiro Guzmán and Luis Carlos Félix were distinguished as Professional teachers, and Carlos Alonzo, Maruma Godoy and Óscar Medrano received the award as PrepaTec teachers.

The awarded professors were selected by a review committee of fellow teachers and were recognized nationally for their outstanding achievements in 2022.

Guerra Leal was recognized for her outstanding work in the academic field, having published five high-level investigations on topics such as hospitality, internal marketing, and financial inclusion, two of which were published in prestigious international journals with Q1 and Q2 indexes.

In addition to her valuable research, she has contributed two chapters to major books, including The Role of Internal Marketing during the Covid-19 Crisis and The Importance of Continuing Education in Ethics and Organizational Culture.

Likewise, Guerra Leal actively participated in the design and implementation of educational innovation initiatives, including the use of methodologies such as the flipped classroom for learning in hybrid modalities and the use of virtual reality tools and gamification.

Guerra Leal's work also extended beyond the classroom, as she mentored students in extracurricular activities, such as the John Molson MBA International Case Competition. Her dedication and her academic excellence earned her recognition for Academic Excellence from EGADE Business School.

"I had many teachers who inspired me and left me the seed of, one day, wanting to be a teacher. It is definitely something I love today," said Guerra Leal.
