In recognition of their outstanding academic performance, 122 EGADE Business School students were accepted as members of the exclusive international honor society Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS).
The new members of the EGADE Business School BGS Chapter were inducted in diverse ceremonies held in November and December in Santa Fe, Monterrey and Guadalajara, where students from these three sites, as well as Querétaro and LATAM, were recognized.
“I would like to invite you to accept the commitment you have taken on as appointed members of Beta Gamma Sigma, and fulfill it from your leadership positions in businesses through the creation of shared value for the transformation of society,” said Ignacio de la Vega, Dean of EGADE Business School, during the ceremony held in Monterrey.
With these inductions, the number of members of the EGADE Business School BGS Chapter, founded in 2016, rose to 324.
BGS members are recognized as “Best in Business”, since they belong exclusively to institutions accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), which represent 5% of business schools worldwide.
The BGS membership awarded to students is for life. To be eligible at the master’s level, students must be among the top 20% of their class, while 100% of doctoral candidates are accepted.
This year and for the first time ever, the EGADE Business School Chapter was awarded Honors, within the BGS Chapter Honor Roll in the 2018-2019 academic year, for outstanding engagement of the chapter members and driving participation in the BGS global network.
BGS, founded in 1913, has more than 600 chapters across the world and 875 thousand members from over 190 countries.
