Congratulations! A new generation of graduates at EGADE Guadalajara

The guest of honor at the ceremony was José Medina Mora, founder and COB of CompuSoluciones.

The Class of June 2023 of EGADE Business School, Guadalajara site, graduated in a joint ceremony with bachelor’s graduates from the School of Business of Tecnológico Monterrey at Campus Guadalajara.

The graduation took place on June 28 in the campus Sports Dome and was broadcast live on live.tec.mx.

A group of 22 EGADE Business School students graduated from the EGADE MBA graduate program, including José Miguel Santa Ana Velasco, who was awarded summa cum laude and had the highest grade average of his generation.

The new EGADE alumnae and alumni were called one by one to the podium to receive their diplomas and greet the guest of honor and guest speaker, José Medina Mora, founder and chair of the board of CompuSoluciones; Marisa Lazo Covera, chair of the board of Tecnológico de Monterrey, Campus Guadalajara; Claudia Félix Sandoval, vice-president of the Western Region of Tecnológico de Monterrey and general director of Campus Guadalajara; and Horacio Arredondo, dean of EGADE Business School.

Members of the faculty who also attended the ceremony were Ricardo Úbeda, associate academic dean of EGADE Business School; Raúl Montalvo, director of EGADE Business School Guadalajara site; and Pedro Carreón, EGADE MBA program director in Guadalajara.

In his message, Medina Mora invited the graduates to be socially responsible individuals who act ethically, with a focus on people, environmental protection, and community outreach.

"It’s not the future that’s in your hands, but the present and Mexico needs you," the guest speaker declared.

Félix Sandoval brought the ceremony to a close by leading the new bachelor’s and master’s graduates in taking the pledge.

Afterward, the new EGADE alumnae and alumni enjoyed a cocktail networking in the EIAD Building at Campus Guadalajara.
