Cristina Menchaca (Onemba’15) has built a solid professional career focused on talent development and organisational transformation. She currently serves as SVP of Digital Transformation and Customer Experience at Aeroméxico, where she leads strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing the customer experience and accelerating the company’s digitalization.
Since joining Aeroméxico in 2018, Cristina has held executive roles in Human Resources, including HR Director and VP of Operations and Commercial HR, where she spearheaded a significant cultural evolution within the organization.
In 2024, she was named one of The Most Influential HR Leaders in Mexico, recognized for her leadership and contribution to talent development in the country. The recognition, awarded by RRHH Digital, highlights her key role in transforming the HR field, promoting more inclusive and collaborative work environments.
With over 14 years of experience in Human Resources, she has worked at companies such as Alsea, PepsiCo, Xerox, Grupo Bafar, and Emerson, leading organizational evolution projects, commercial transformation, and talent management strategies.
A HUMAN-CENTRED APPROACH TO TRANSFORMATION
In an interview with Expansión Mujeres, Cristina shared the importance of having a conscious view of our environment and of each person’s responsibility in promoting greater inclusion: “I also have a responsibility, within my privilege, to promote greater inclusion,” she said.
Her leadership style is rooted in active listening, respect, and openness. “In the end, it’s about how we create an environment where people and our collaborators feel free to be who they truly are and contribute and say what they want to bring to the table,” she expressed.
Her commitment to diversity, equity, and human development has been a constant throughout her career. In her words: “If I can leave something behind, it would be encouraging greater awareness, and greater tolerance, respect, and openness — because that’s where it all begins.”
LEADERSHIP CONNECTED TO THE EXATEC EGADE COMMUNITY
As a graduate of the OneMBA program at EGADE Business School, Cristina served as President of the EXATEC EGADE Association Board during the 2023–2024 term, promoting collaborative networks, social causes, and strengthening the bond between alumni and the school.
Since her time at EGADE Business School, she has championed a transformational leadership style that puts people at the center of organizations, with strategic vision, social awareness, and a commitment to collective well-being.
