BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Tauhidul Tanin is a Professor in the Department of Finance and Business Economics at EGADE Business School, Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has over 12 years of experience in academia and industry, including roles as a Research Analyst and Finance Manager, to enrich his field. Driven by a passion for high-quality research, he collaborated with professors from over 35 top universities in 19 countries. He published in top-tier journals, such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Energy Economics, British Accounting Review, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Financial Analysis, Sustainable Development, Research in International Business and Finance, and International Journal of Emerging Markets.

He holds a PhD in Finance from Monash University, Australia, and has achieved High Distinction marks in his PhD (coursework), MSc, MBA, and BBA. He has been honored with various merit-based awards and scholarships, including the Monash Research Merit Scholarship for PhD and INCEIF University Full/President's Scholarship for MSc. His dedication and expertise are further recognized by his nominations for the prestigious Mollie Holman Award (Best Doctoral Researcher) and Vice-Chancellor's Commendation for Thesis Excellence by Monash.

His research interests include Sustainable Finance, International Finance, Energy Finance, Behavioral Finance, Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Economics, Corporate Finance, Financial Analytics, FinTech, and Machine Learning. He actively reviews research papers for 11 prominent journals, including the International Review of Financial Analysis, Finance Research Letters, Energy Policy, Annals of Operations Research, International Review of Economics and Finance, Resources Policy, Research in International Business and Finance, Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, Eurasian Business Review, International Journal of Islamic and Middle Eastern Finance and Management, and Managerial Finance.

He is an invited and sole Node Leader in Mexico for the InSPiR2eS Center for Responsible Science (IC4RS), which comprises 74 Node Leaders globally, with only four in North and South America. He serves as an invited Doctoral Thesis Evaluation Panel Member for PhD candidates in Business Economics at Universidad ICESI, Colombia, and in Management Sciences (Finance) at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Pakistan. He mentors three individuals: a Post-doctoral fellow on a project on Corporate Governance, Climate Finance, and Sustainability; a Job Market Candidate (PhD) on academic job search and application preparation; and a potential PhD candidate on admission, scholarships, and career guidance.
