Hans Martin Lundberg

With over 30 years of experience, his career combines research in entrepreneurship and innovation management with creating and transforming organizations in high-uncertainty and high-risk contexts. Before joining our institution, he was a Research Professor at Linnaeus University in Sweden, where he also held the positions of Director of Accreditation and Senior Professor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Hans was previously part of our academic community between 2008 and 2011, serving as a Research Professor and Director of the Master in Marketing program at the Estado de México Campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has also been a Research Professor at Universidad Iberoamericana.

He has collaborated with international organizations such as the European Union and the United Nations on business development and education initiatives in emerging markets. His publications include academic articles, book chapters, and monographs on entrepreneurship, innovation, and organizational development. He was Vice President of the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and founded its Entrepreneurship Interest Group. He has also led research projects that have had an impact on Latin America and Eastern Europe.

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Entrepreneurship from Växjö University (now Linnaeus University).

Ricardo Murcio

Ricardo Murcio has more than 22 years of experience in organizational and talent development. He is known for optimizing business operations and leading teams. He has implemented top-level organizational and talent development programs in various organizations, contributing to their strategic success.

Before joining EGADE Business, Ricardo was a Full Professor of Organizational Behavior at IPADE Business School, Mexico, teaching courses in organizational culture and leadership for MBA and executive education programs. Additionally, he has been a Guest Professor at INALDE, Colombia and BARNA, Dominican Republic. He has worked as a consultant for SMEs and family businesses, focusing on leadership, strategic planning, and organizational effectiveness. He also held management positions at Grupo Posadas, where he was Training and Development Manager, and later Human Resources Manager at Fiesta Americana Vacation Club.

Boyd Cohen

Since obtaining his Ph.D. in strategy and entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado in 2001, Boyd Cohen focused on accelerating the path to a low-carbon sustainable economy for the past two decades. This included publishing three books (Post-Capitalist Entrepreneurship: Startups for the 99%, The Emergence of the Urban Entrepreneur, and Climate Capitalism: Capitalism in the Age of Climate Change), multiple peer-reviewed articles, and starting a handful of ventures in the smart cities and sustainability arena. Boyd’s writings and thought leadership have been published in Fast Company, CoinDesk, and numerous smart cities publications. At the same time, the Smart Cities Wheel has been leveraged by governments around the globe to benchmark, rank, and strategize their path to a net zero future. His previous academic posts have been at IE (Spain), University of Victoria and Simon Fraser University (Canada), INCAE (Costa Rica), Universidad del Desarrollo (Chile), and EADA Business School (Spain), where he was Dean of Research. Boyd joined EGADE in April 2024 as a Research Professor in the Department of Strategy and Leadership. He is currently the Director of the Master in Sustainable Business at EGADE Business School. He also holds an International Fellow from Hult International Business School in the Future’s Impact Lab. He is finishing his fourth book (Abundance Capitalism), and is on the Board of Iomob, a Web2 and Web3 software startup he cofounded in smart mobility.

Horacio Arredondo

Horacio Arredondo is Dean of EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico. Also, Horacio is an advisor and director of companies, with experience in various industries and countries in Latin America, both in the Private Sector, Public Sector, and NGOs.

At the academic level, Horacio teaches courses in Strategy and Organizational Alignment. His research interests focus on Family Business, particularly the intersection between Strategy and Socioemotional Wealth.

Previously, Horacio was Vice Dean of Graduate Studies and Executive Development at the Business School of Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI), Santiago de Chile. As well as the Executive Director of the Center for Family Businesses of UAI and a Professor in Strategy and General Management in the same house of studies.

Horacio is a Public Accountant from the University of the Republic of Uruguay specializing in Corporate Finance. He has an MBA from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, a master's degree in Research Methodologies for Science, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration, both from IE Business School.

Juan Carlos Rivera

During his over 22 years’ academic and professional experience, Dr. Juan Carlos Rivera has focused on international business, global strategy, strategic negotiation, global innovation, international education, international economic policy, and global marketing, as well as extensive specialized practice in more than 55 countries on every continent of the world.

He acquired his considerable international skills throughout his career at PepsiCo, Bancomext, PEMEX International, the National Association of Universities, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and CENEVAL. Such opportunities have taken him to countries, cities, companies, and universities around the world, where he has played key roles as team leader, project manager, strategy developer, principal advisor, diplomatic representative, keynote speaker, manager, senior consultant, and CEO.

Christiane Molina

Dr. Christiane Molina is Research Professor in the Strategy and Leadership Department at EGADE Business School. She currently teaches corporate sustainability to MBA students and courses on strategic planning, innovation and sustainability, and planning models and processes at the State of Mexico Campus.

Dr. Molina is a prominent coach of the Best Mexican Companies program at Deloitte, Banamex and Tecnológico de Monterrey. She has also provided advice to family businesses in the Family Business Value Creation Program in the metropolitan area of ​​Mexico City. She is certified as an Independent Director by the Institute of Best Practices and as “Multiplicador B” by the B Corp organization in Mexico.

Dr. Molina worked in the Telecommunications Industry in Nicaragua and Mexico as a consultant for Detecon Inc., a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom. She is a member of the SNI, (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Candidate level, Conacyt, and an active member of the Academy of Management in the divisions of international business and organization and administration.

Dr. Molina’s research has been published in Business & Society magazine, and in Advances of International Management. She has presented her research at several national and international conferences such as BALAS (Business Association for Latin American Studies), ACACIA (Academy of Administrative Sciences), and LAEMOS (Latin American and European Meeting on Organization Studies). Laura Zapata

Professor Zapata Cantu’s research interests are focused on management and strategic planning in SMEs, the impact of information technology in the human resources area, knowledge management, and organizational learning.

In addition to having participated in national and international congresses, her research has been published in indexed journals, such as the International Journal of Manpower, European Journal of International Management, the Journal of Knowledge Management, the Journal of Studies on Administration, University of Chile and Rio’s International Journal on Sciences of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Management. In 2008, she received Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Award for teaching and research in the Department of Administration and Finance. 

Professor Zapata has been Academic Associate Dean at EGADE Business School and MBA Director in Monterrey, Director of the International Liaison Office in Barcelona of Tecnológico de Monterrey, and she has been a visiting professor in numerous universities such as the Postgraduate University Institute of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Alicante and University Carlos III (Spain) and ICN Business School (France).

Dr. Zapata has been a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Conacyt since 2006 and was made a Level 2 researcher in January 2017.

Gilberto Olavarrieta

In 2001, Gilberto Olavarrieta began his career as a university professor teaching business intelligence and organizational intelligence in postgraduate programs at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Prior to attaining his doctorate, he gave courses on administrative consulting and business intelligence, capital systems, systems and knowledge flow,strategic administration of corporate performance and business intelligence also at Tecnológico de Monterrey. 

Since 1996 he has worked as a consultant on more than 50 business intelligence projects for some of Mexico's largest corporates. He has designed and developed support systems for decision-making in the services, manufacturing, financial and insurance sectors.

Since 2002, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Ibero-American community of knowledge systems, a network of international experts in the fields of knowledge management and knowledge-based development. As a member of this community, he has participated in international events as a speaker in countries including Spain, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.

As part of his doctoral research, Dr. Olavarrieta has published articles in indexed publications and various scientific journals on intelligence capital and the model of integral intelligence. He has participated in the leading international congresses around these themes including IFKAD (International Forum on Knowledge Assets Dynamics) in Italy, Finland and Australia; KCWS (Knowledge Cities World Summit) in Australia, Turkey and Brazil; KMAP (Knowledge Management in Asia).
