BIOGRAPHY

Claudia Alvarez is a research professor in the Department of Strategy and Leadership at EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey. She holds a PhD in Business Creation and Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​a Master's degree in Systems Engineering, and a Bachelor's degree in Administrative Engineering. In recent years, she has strengthened her academic profile with studies in Analytics and Data Science. With over 20 years of experience in the educational field, she has developed a solid career in teaching, research, management, and consulting. Her academic work has been published in prestigious international journals, including Small Business Economics, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, European Business Review, Management Decision, and the Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, among others. She currently serves on the Editorial Review Board of the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. In the field of academic management, she has served as Vice-Rector for Administration and Finance at the University of Medellín (Colombia). She has directed the Phd program in Administration at EAFIT University, as well as several master's programs at other universities. She has also led key consulting projects in digital transformation and Industry 4.0, including projects in process orchestration and hyperautomation for the financial sector, piloting electronic labelling systems for retail, and developing smart manufacturing solutions in the pharmaceutical industry.
