Enrique Tamés

Enrique Tamés is a Professor in the Department of Strategy and Leadership at EGADE Business School. He has over 32 years of experience at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he has held key roles such as full-time professor, Department Director, Dean of the School of Humanities and Education, and Director of the Monterrey International Book Fair. Before joining EGADE Business School, he was Director of Human Flourishing Projects. He also collaborated with Universidad Tecmilenio as Regional Vice Rector and Director of the Institute of Sciences of Happiness. In addition to his leadership roles, Enrique has recently focused his research on Human Flourishing. He explores elements that promote our best version on personal, community, and systemic levels and delves into well-being and happiness from both philosophical and scientific perspectives. He currently leads a research project funded by the Templeton World Charity Foundation and Tecnológico de Monterrey, mapping the study of Human Flourishing in Latin America. He has been a visiting researcher at the Getty Institute and Loyola University in Chicago and a visiting professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Yale University. Enrique holds coaching certifications from Gallup and Newfield Consulting and is certified in Appreciative Inquiry by Case Western Reserve University. He is also an alumnus of Singularity University. In his teaching, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, including leadership topics and doctoral-level research seminars.

Juan Carlos Rivera

During his over 22 years’ academic and professional experience, Dr. Juan Carlos Rivera has focused on international business, global strategy, strategic negotiation, global innovation, international education, international economic policy, and global marketing, as well as extensive specialized practice in more than 55 countries on every continent of the world.

He acquired his considerable international skills throughout his career at PepsiCo, Bancomext, PEMEX International, the National Association of Universities, Tecnológico de Monterrey, and CENEVAL. Such opportunities have taken him to countries, cities, companies, and universities around the world, where he has played key roles as team leader, project manager, strategy developer, principal advisor, diplomatic representative, keynote speaker, manager, senior consultant, and CEO.

He has collaborated with multiple corporations, including the Institute of International Education, United Nations, World Bank, OECD, FedEx, Unilever, P&G, BMW, Lenovo, Bimbo, Grupo Carso, Roche, Huawei, Alsea, Bosch, Liomont, Renault, E&Y, Deloitte, KPMG, Adidas, LG and CEMEX, Bayer, and Ternium, among others.

Dr. Rivera is a professor of Strategy, Leadership, and Global Business for EGADE Business School, and an Executive Education consultant. In his career as an educator, he has served as a professor at the Mexico City, Toluca, and Monterrey campuses of Tecnológico de Monterrey. In addition, he has lectured at the Sorbonne (Université de Paris) in France, the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in China, the University of Auckland in New Zealand, the University of Edinburgh in the UK, the University of Minas Gerais in Brazil, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in Saudi Arabia, Yale, Harvard, Boston College, Babson College and the University of Texas at Austin in the United States, the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and institutions in every state of Mexico.

Elliott Kruse

Dr. Elliott Kruse is a Professor of the Department of Strategy and Leadership at EGADE Business School and Leader of the Thematic Area Research Group (GAT) in Leadership.

His research focuses on how values shape leadership. His interests include the fields of ethics, motivation, and decision-making. He is particularly interested in the implications of problem resolution, negotiation and social innovation. 

He has co-authored several articles, amongst which are "Boosting State Humility Via Gratitude, Self-Affirmation, and Awe: Theoretical and Empirical Perspectives," "The Relationship Between Physician Humility, Physician-Patient Communication, and Patient Health," "An upward spiral between gratitude and humility" and "People claim objectivity after knowingly using biased strategies." In 2011, he received the award for the best article from the Department of Organizational Behavior, Academy of Management of San Antonio (Texas, United States.)

Dr. Kruse was a postdoctoral researcher at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, and a postdoctoral research associate (2013-2015) at the University of Princeton (USA.)
