The innovative approaches of visiting professors enrich the experience of students in EGADE Business School programs.

EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey welcomes international visiting professors, who are joining the school’s distinguished Faculty.

This diverse group of professors will be teaching courses in the remote modality, enriching our students’ academic experience and fostering international collaboration with innovative approaches in a variety of areas:

Abhishek Nayak (India) is a professor at University of Amsterdam Business School (Netherlands). He is returning to EGADE Business School as a visiting professor to teach the courses Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Machine Learning. His research work focuses on the effectiveness of advertising and synergy in the media. Abhishek holds a Ph.D. in Business Studies Specialization in Marketing and Master in Research Methodology in Management Science, from IE Business School (Spain); MBA in International Business, from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (India); and Bachelor of Technology, from Nirma Institute of Technology (India).

Tamara Carleton (South Korea, USA) CEO and founder of Innovation Leadership Group and author of Playbook for Strategic Foresight and Innovation. She is a professor in the Continuing Studies program and collaborator with the Innovation Lab at Stanford University, and a visiting professor at Osaka Institute of Technology in Japan. Tamara is joining EGADE Business School as a visiting professor to teach courses in the area of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As an academic with a multidisciplinary approach, Tamara holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, from Stanford University (USA); M.S. in Public Relations, from Syracuse University (USA); and B.A. in Communications, from George Washington University (USA).

Christopher Harris (USA) is an academic, entrepreneur and renowned consultant in the areas of Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics and Marketing Strategy. As a visiting professor at EGADE Business School, he will be teaching courses in the area of Marketing Digital. He is a professor at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School (USA) and has worked as a marketing consultant for companies such Warner Bros Entertainment, UPS, Ericsson, Coca Cola, McDonald’s, Disney, IBM and Nokia. Christopher holds an MBA in International Management, from Thunderbird School of Global Management (USA), and a B.A. in Political Science, from George Washington University (USA).

Anna Nikina (Finland), professor affiliated to Grenoble École de Management (France), is joining EGADE Business School as a visiting professor to teach courses in the area of Entrepreneurship. Since 2003, Anna has worked in different regions of Europe in organizations such as Skolkovo Foundation, the Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Nokia, propelling the development of business, education and innovation ecosystems. She authored the book Areas of Innovation in a Global World. Anna holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree, from Grenoble Ecole de Management; Executive MBA and Master of International Business, from Stockholm University School of Business (Sweden); and Bachelor of Business Administration, from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science (Finland).

William L. Carney (USA, Switzerland) will be teaching courses in the area of Branding in the Marketing and Business Intelligence Department at EGADE Business School. He is a professor at Hult International Business School (United States) and also currently serves as a director at Idria Energy and Hermitage and Co. in Geneva, Switzerland.  He has worked at Chrysler, AT&T and General Motors, while, as a consultant, his client list includes companies such as Nestlé, Volvo and HSBC. Bill is the author of the book Massaging The Mind: An Introduction To Techniques of Personal and Organizational Influence. He completed doctoral studies at George Washington University (USA) and holds an MBA, from IMD Business School (Switzerland), as well as a B.A. in Political Science, from Wayne State University (USA).

Seema Gupta (India) is an associate professor at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, and is joining EGADE Business School as a visiting professor to teach the course Digital Marketing. Seema has published research articles in distinguished journals, such as the Journal of Marketing Practice and Theory, and authored business case studies, published by Harvard Business School Publishing, on topics related to the marketing challenges faced by companies, including Volkswagen, Bosch, Nielsen, DDB Mudra and Dainik Bhaskar, among others. She holds  a Ph.D., from Mohanlal Sukhadia University (India); MBA, from R. A. Podar Institute of Management (India); and B.A. in Economics, Psychology and Statistics, from Rajasthan University (India).

Jim Salas (USA) is a professor at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School (USA). He is joining EGADE Business School as a visiting professor to teach courses in the area of Service Management. Jim coordinates an international research team that collaborates with a leading European technology company for the implementation of service strategies and is a researcher at the Arizona State University Center for Services Leadership. For more than 10 years, Jim held leadership positions at AT&T in the area of corporate sales. He holds a Ph.D. and MBA, from W. P. Carey School of Business of Arizona State University (USA), and B.A. in Marketing, from University of Phoenix (USA).
