EGADE's Director of Academic Experience and Operations Joins GMAC Board

The Director of Operations and Academic Experience of EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey, Ana María Zermeño Padilla, has joined the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) board of directors.

The board includes representatives from GMAC member schools and industry worldwide, with Zermeño Padilla being the only board member from Latin America.

In a press release to announce the new members and new leadership of the Board of Directors, Joy Jones, CEO of GMAC, said: “I am thrilled to have these talented individuals deepening their engagement with the Council, enhancing our board diversity and membership roster. They are bringing valuable perspectives and critical insights to GMAC’s global mission of helping business schools and talent discover and evaluate each other.”

The GMAC member schools select the members of the board.

"It's an honor to have been selected. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the success and growth of GMAC. I want to thank the board members for considering me for this position and their vote of confidence. I am eager to bring my skills, knowledge, and experience to support the organization's mission and goals. I firmly believe in the importance of the work that GMAC does and the positive impact on management education worldwide," said Zermeño Padilla, who started her term on July 1.

Zermeño Padilla has a proven track as an academic leader at several institutions among Tecnológico de Monterrey, like Virtual University and Tecmilenio.

At EGADE Business School, she oversees all student academic and life experience, administrative operations, and logistics for in-person and online students.

Before her assignment, she innovated the admissions and enrollment process by implementing automatization and technification improvements.

Zermeño Padilla is a member of the board for Somos El Cambio and Instituto de Formación y Perfeccionamiento Policial de San Pedro, both academic institutions.

She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration, a Master's in Education and a Ph.D. in Education Innovation from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a Master's in Business Analytics from EGADE Business School.
