Two graduates of EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey were included in the Top Voices Gender Equality 2022 list, published for the first time by LinkedIn Noticias México.

The list is an editorial initiative generated around International Women’s Day to highlight the 10 women to follow who reflect on inclusive work environments.

The selected women are extraordinary professionals who share their points of view on topics related to gender perspective, women’s empowerment, the eradication of prejudice and bias, in personal and professional contexts, flexible work, equal pay, emotional wellness, and professional growth.

The two EGADE alumnae nominated in this year’s LinkedIn Top Voices in Mexico regarding gender equality are:

SILVIA DÁVILA

• Regional President Latin America and CEO Mexico, Danone, and Master in Business Economics graduate, EGADE Business School.

LinkedIn describes Dávila as being passionate about leadership and transformation topics, and a champion of diverse pro-women and -equality social causes.

“As regional president for Latin America at Danone, she has directed significant business transformations, based on financial changes, and has driven the growth of the business she leads. “She has presented diversity and inclusion implementation guides related to gender equality for companies, and is passionate about equal pay, women’s economic participation, and work-life balance,” the list editors emphasized.

Dávila was also recently included in Expansión magazine’s 2022 ranking “The 100 most powerful business women.” At EGADE Business School, she has participated as a guest speaker in the EGADE Future Forum webinar series, and delivered the commencement speech in the graduation ceremony held in June 2021 in Mexico City.

MARYANGEL GARCÍA-RAMOS

Leader of the Diversity and Inclusion Office at Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Center for the Recognition of Human Dignity, and an EGADE MBA graduate.

Diversity and inclusion are at the core of the content shared by García-Ramos, LinkedIn states.

“In addition, she typically writes on her profile about inclusive education and the rights of persons with disabilities. She has appeared twice as a TEDx speaker and as a representative of Mexican civil society at the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. She has also collaborated with UN Women and the UN Population Fund, as well as other international organizations that support women’s rights and inclusion,” the editors commented.

In 2019, García-Ramos, as part of the Tecnológico de Monterrey community, was awarded the Tec Prize for Women, and, this year, as an EGADE Business School graduate, was distinguished with the AACSB Influential Leader Award. She recently participated as a guest speaker in an episode on workplace inclusion for disabled women of Business Territory, the EGADE Business School and Tec de Monterrey School of Business podcast.

To compile the list, the editors took into consideration the content posted by each expert on LinkedIn.
