Martin Reimann

Distinguished Visiting Professor in Consumer Behavior at EGADE Business School and Tec's Undergraduate Business School

Professor Martin Reimann is an Associate Professor of Marketing at the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona, with appointments as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Cognitive Science Graduate Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Arizona as well. He is the Founder and Director of the Arizona Think Tank for Behavioral Decision Making, where he developed the research mission and collaboratively created the strategic agenda that focuses on interdisciplinary research areas such as Behavioral Economics, Data Science, Consumer Judgment and Decision Making, and Decision Neuroscience. In addition, Professor Reimann is the Founder and Director of the Association for NeuroPsychoEconomics, where he developed an annual scholarly conference and a workshop on consumer neuroscience in partnership with the Association for Consumer Research. He founded and edited an academic journal within the Association for NeuroPsychoEconomics called the Journal of Neuroscience, Psychology, and Economics.

Carlos Vargas a finance scholar and researcher who is currently on his way to acquiring his Ph.D. in Banking and Finance on behalf of the University of Zurich. With more than ten years of experience working with multinational companies, his expertise revolves around topics such as financial analysis, sustainable finance, business planning, renewable energy, and project financing. He has written financial editorials for influential newspapers in Mexico, such as El Financiero and El Economista, and has been invited to teach courses at several universities in Latin America, the United States, and Europe. Not only is he a part of the faculty at EGADE Business School, but he is also a professor of Sustainable Finance and Impact Investments at the Harvard Extension School.

Tomás has a bachelor degree in Management from University of Guadalajara and holds and MBA by EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey, and two executive programs: one by Yale University “Innovation and Value Creation”, and another by Boston University “Entrepreneurial Marketing and Finance”. He currently advices startups and corporations to re-design their human resources areas. He teaches conscious business design, shared value, strategy and talent, multigenerational Leadership and human capital strategy dimension subjects at Tec de Monterrey, campus Monterrey. He has 25 years’ experience in academia and consulting, the development and implementation of financial strategies for funding high impact and rapid growth start-ups, and building strategic alliances with community and various organizations at a global level. He has also worked with companies as an advisor, as well as in the incorporation of its corporate governance bodies and capital budget policies. As an entrepreneur, he has created three development centers: a business center featuring an incubator, an accelerator, an investor’s club and company landing; a logistics center offering research services to the ports of Tampico and Altamira; and a plastics center which offers the petrochemical industry, plastic resins research. He also founded the company Productos FB, dedicated to the production and marketing of organic coffee.
