In the academic field, Dr. Lozano has focused on studying investment decisions as well as mergers and acquisitions. He focuses specifically on identifying and quantifying value as well as searching for that which can capitalize an added value. He supports the professionalization of family offices. He also studies financial topics linked to energy reform in Mexico. Over the course of his professional career, Professor Lozano has lead projects in tourism and agricultural development on the coast of Jalisco, performing a range of managerial and director-level roles. He has also served as general director of agricultural development, both in Veracruz as well as in North-Eastern Mexico and as Partner Director of the Network of Value and Value Assesors.

Renzo Casapía has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Agustin in Peru and holds an MBA from HEC University of Montreal, Canada.  Renzo has occupied leadership roles in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing in top multinational companies such as Citigroup and IBM in Peru, Mexico and Canada.    He has been a keynote speaker and panelist at serval global business and academic events. He is currently the Managing Director for Cengage/National Geographic Learning in Latin America. Prior to assuming this role, Renzo was Managing Director of UVM Sur, the largest and most representative operation of Laureate International Universities with16,000 students. In all his roles, he has leveraged technology and data to generate change and innovation.  He currently teaches Business Intelligence, People and Data Analytics at the MBA of EGADE (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico City. Renzo is also a board member at Inroads Mexico, an international organization oriented to provide leadership opportunities to undeserved university students in Mexico. Renzo is Canadian and Peruvian, is happily married with two daughters (Andrea y Lucianna), enjoys languages, teaching and social work.

Professor of Service Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship at EGADE Business School

Professor Quepons has a 29-year professional career at Tecnológico de Monterrey, during which he has served as Director of the administrative department; a Program Director and a regular Associate Professor at the EGADE Business School, Monterrey Campus. He was the Founding Director of the Master Program in Business Management at EGADE Business School, and the National Coordinator of the Academy of Business Management of ITESM System, overseeing the design of the 2011 syllabus for the Bachelor in Business Management. Since 2007, he is a visiting professor at the American University of Managua (UAM), Managua, Nicaragua, teaching Strategic Planning, in the program of Master in Administration UAM-ITESM. Professor Maraboto has broad experience in the areas of executive education and consulting, both in Mexico and abroad, teaching programs for companies such as Grupo ALFA, Cervecería Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma, General Motors Mexico, GRUMA, Realty World México, Grupo FEMSA, Mexican Hotel Association of Nuevo León, Grupo Prisma, Grupo Rebasa, Grupo Senda, Grupo Tigo (El Salvador, C.A.), Grupo Soriana, Seven Eleven, Hotel “El Panamá” (Panamá, C.A.); Volkswagen Mexico, Roche Laboratories, amongst others. In 2007, he was awarded the “Award for Teaching and Research Work,” and in 2013 he was granted the Award “ERSKINE & LEENDERS” for the best written case granted by the Latin American Association of Cases (ALAC, by its acronym in Spanish). Some of his areas of interest in research are social entrepreneurship, corporate innovation, service management, and negotiation strategies.

He holds a Ph.D in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (Universitat de Barcelona), was “research fellow” in HEC Montreal, and he did a research stay at Harvard Business School. He actively works with entrepreneurs and MBA students to help them develop their entrepreneurial skills, and has worked with companies such as Grupo Bimbo, Renault, Pfizer, Roche, Frisa, Kraft-Heinz, Mabe, Hubell, etc. in consultancy projects and executive education. He was the Head of Innovation in Inextia, co-founded a video-games startup, former President of the “Innovation Commission” in Coparmex, and former professor in LaSalle College Barcelona. He has published different research papers in British journals and chapters books edited by Babson School. He has participated in conferences in Germany, Denmark, Canada, England, USA, Spain, etc. He is member of the European Group of Organization Studies and in the Entrepreneurship Research Group in EGADE. His ideas and work have been featured in different magazines such as Forbes, Expansión and Entrepreneur México, and in Tv, El Heraldo Noticias and ADN 40.
