Santiago Alonso Díaz is a Research Professor in the Department of Marketing and Business Intelligence at EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His academic and professional career has been characterized by outstanding teaching and research work in the field of behavioral and cognitive sciences in various institutions in both Colombia and the United States, including the Javeriana University, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, University of Rochester and Columbia University. He has extensive experience as a consultant specializing in issues of behavior and cognition, having collaborated in private, public, and international institutions, including the United Nations, Xolit, the District Secretariat of Security, Coexistence and Justice of Bogotá, GRADE, Minciencias Colombia and the Inter-American Development Bank. His research focuses on the intersection between cognitive science and human behavior.

Jorge Ramos Mercado

Jorge Ramos Mercado's research focuses on dynamic information economics. He was a research associate at the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College from 2014 to 2017 and a research assistant at the Center for Opportunity and Inclusive Growth at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 2019 to 2021. He has worked with multiple researchers on projects ranging from industrial organization and the implications of government programs on well-being. Within his teaching experience, he was an instructor of Industrial Organization and Cost-Benefit Analysis for undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota.

Jairo Orozco Triana

Dr. Jairo Orozco is a professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Technological Innovation at EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey. He has left a significant mark on the academic and business community with more than 15 years of experience training and motivating people in their decision to start a business and providing his experience in corporate entrepreneurship, innovation, business model redesign, and strategy. He has been a consultant to public and private companies, including the Inter-American Development Bank. He has held various liaison, academic, and research roles at institutions such as the University of Cartagena and the Ean University in Colombia, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain, and the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. His research focuses on the determinants of corporate entrepreneurship in developing countries, and his contributions have been published in renowned academic journals, such as the Journal of Small Business Management. He has participated as a speaker at renowned international conferences, such as RENT, ACEDE, CLADEA, and ICSB, sharing his experience and knowledge with the academic community.

Rolando Fuentes

Rolando has experience working for the public sector, where he first held the position of Director of International Negotiations at SENER (Secretaría de Energía) and another executive position as Director of the hydrocarbons division. Regarding his academic achievements, he was a fellow of the London School of Economics (LSE), where he lectured and taught courses in Environmental Economics and Environmental Policy, while he also supervised master’s dissertations. In addition to that, he has also been a research fellow of the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies, the IHS CERA, and the Center for Strategic Studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His research mainly focuses on new business models in the energy sector, innovation, and energy policy.

Before joining the EGADE faculty, he was a Research Fellow II for the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC), an institution based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is focused on researching global energy economics.

Rolando has a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Economics by the University College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics by the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Sonia Monárrez

Dr. Monárrez currently holds the Director of Strategic Intelligence position at EGADE Business School. Her specialized teaching areas include the economics of businesses, microeconomics, econometrics, and business intelligence. She is also a member of the Business Analytics research group.  
 
Before this, Dr. Monárrez was the National Coordinator of Academic Majors at EGADE Business School. She has also worked as Director of Economic Studies at Talous Consulting, an expert for the social development committee in Nuevo León, an editor of BREVIS economic and business reports (focused on Latin America) and OKOMOS, focused on Mexico. She has designed a range of courses in universities such as Harvard, Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad de Monterrey, and EGADE Business School.
 
Dr. Monárrez has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in applied statistics from Tecnológico de Monterrey; she has completed a master’s degree in public policy and international development with a concentration in national and international economic policy at the Kennedy School at Harvard University. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph.D. in public policy from the Tecnológico de Monterrey. Her areas of interest include business analytics and international economy.

Everardo Elizondo

Professor Elizondo Almaguer has focused his research interests on monetary theory and policy, economics for public policy, international finance and economics, themes on which he researches up to the present day in the context of the doctorate study in which he is engaged.  

His professional experience in both public and private institutions such as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Mexico )1998-2008) and Director of Economic Research at Grupo Financiero Bancomer amongst others, have granted him in his role as professor and researcher, a panoramic vision of the overall economic environment. 

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of a number of private institutions such as the School of Economics at Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Raúl Montalvo

Dr. Montalvo Corzo has dedicated his research and teaching work to microeconomic theory and applied it to the economy of a business, industrial organization, econometrics, game theory and global business, areas on which he has extensively written. Amongst his publications and intellectual contributions the following stand out: the co-authorship of 6 books, 10 book chapters, 15 scientific articles, diverse publications and participation in numerous newspapers, specialized journals and radio and tv programs. 

Dr. Corzo has been an associate researcher in applied macroeconomics and optimum stochastic control in the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas and has worked in the private sector in the field of insurance. He has also acted as a consultant in projects for a range of businesses. 

He has been active as a member in various professional organizations such as Coparmex Jalisco’s Economic Analysis Committee, the Committee for Economic Development and the Board of the US Chamber of Commerce, the Consultative Board of Advisors of the Secretariat of Economic Promotion of the State of Jalisco, the Jalisco Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Statistics and Geography. He is also a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Level 1, Conacyt. 

In addition to his role as Director of EGADE Business School Guadalajara, Dr. Montalvo has served as the Director of the Graduate School of Administration on the Guadalajara  campus and of the Graduate School of Administration and Business Administration. He has been a visiting professor in countries such as as the UK, Peru, Equador, Colombia, Panama, France and the US and has delivered a SNOC (Small Network Online Course) for the GNAM (Global Network for Advanced Management) consortium. 

He has completed short term programs in economic geography and overlapping generations in the Technical University of Lisbon; business and the Chinese market in Fundan University and Peking university; data visualization at the Stevens Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship at Babson College.
