Dr. Tauhidul Tanin is a Professor in the Department of Finance and Business Economics at EGADE Business School. With an extensive background encompassing over 12 years of experience in academia and industry, he has served as a Research Consultant and Finance Manager, solidifying his expertise in the field. He is deeply committed to interdisciplinary research and has collaborated with professors from over 27 top universities worldwide. His scholarly contributions have been published in highly-ranked journals, including the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Energy Economics, Finance Research Letters, International Review of Financial Analysis, Sustainable Development, and the International Journal of Emerging Markets.

His research interests encompass various areas, such as international finance, behavioral finance, energy finance, financial markets and institutions, financial economics, corporate finance, sustainable finance, real estate, and FinTech.

Dr. Tanin has achieved High Distinction marks in his Ph.D. (coursework), MSc, MBA, and BBA degrees, and has been honored with merit-based awards and scholarships, including the Monash University Research Merit Scholarship for Ph.D., INCEIF University Full/President's Scholarship for MSc, and Best Conference Paper Award. Rolando Fuentes

Rolando has experience working for the public sector, where he first held the position of Director of International Negotiations at SENER (Secretaría de Energía) and another executive position as Director of the hydrocarbons division. Regarding his academic achievements, he was a fellow of the London School of Economics (LSE), where he lectured and taught courses in Environmental Economics and Environmental Policy, while he also supervised master’s dissertations. In addition to that, he has also been a research fellow of the Oxford Institute of Energy Studies, the IHS CERA, and the Center for Strategic Studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey. His research mainly focuses on new business models in the energy sector, innovation, and energy policy.

Before joining the EGADE faculty, he was a Research Fellow II for the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC), an institution based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is focused on researching global energy economics.

Rolando has a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), an M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Economics by the University College London, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics by the Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Luis Alfredo Hernández

Professor Hernández Aramburo specializes in consulting in energy, financial innovation, portfolio management, risk management, and corporate funding.

Amongst Professor Hernandez’s professional activities are the leadership of Var Financiero, consulting in risk management, and balance management. He was also the Director of Funding and Risk Management of Global Markets at HSBC Mexico. He served in global banking as a Relationship Executive in Energy. He has served as vice president of structured finance at Citigroup in New York and sub-director of treasury and debt markets at Banamex. In the public sector, he has worked in the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit in the Direction of Financial Planning and the Office of Advisors of the Secretariat of Foreign Relations.

Professor Hernández has performed placements and operations with derived instruments for companies such as Pemex, CFE, Cemex, Banamex, Amovil, DaimlerChrysler, Compartamos, Aeromexico, Ferromex, and different municipalities. Several of these transactions have been acknowledged as deals of the year by the specialized press. 

In addition to his teaching activities at EGADE Business School, Professor Hernández has been a guest researcher at Bundesbank in Germany in Frankfurt.

He is also an Independent Advisor at CFE EPS I, an Independent Advisor Capitalization and Investment Fund of the Rural Sector, CKD EXI2, Chair of the Risk Committee of the Trust for Mining Promotion, and a member of the Board of the International Society for Mexico Energy (ISME).
