Renzo Casapía has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Agustin in Peru and holds an MBA from HEC University of Montreal, Canada.  Renzo has occupied leadership roles in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing in top multinational companies such as Citigroup and IBM in Peru, Mexico and Canada.    He has been a keynote speaker and panelist at serval global business and academic events. He is currently the Managing Director for Cengage/National Geographic Learning in Latin America. Prior to assuming this role, Renzo was Managing Director of UVM Sur, the largest and most representative operation of Laureate International Universities with16,000 students. In all his roles, he has leveraged technology and data to generate change and innovation.  He currently teaches Business Intelligence, People and Data Analytics at the MBA of EGADE (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico City. Renzo is also a board member at Inroads Mexico, an international organization oriented to provide leadership opportunities to undeserved university students in Mexico. Renzo is Canadian and Peruvian, is happily married with two daughters (Andrea y Lucianna), enjoys languages, teaching and social work.

Héctor Shibata is the Investment Director of AC Ventures, a Corporate Venture Capital Fund, where he is responsible for leading the investment processes and managing the portfolio. Also, Hector is an adjunct professor at the EGADE Business School at the Monterrey Tech for Entrepreneurial Finance. Prior to this, Hector participated in a Fintech Startup. In addition, Héctor held previous positions in Private Equity and in Corporate and Investment Banking in New York and Mexico. Héctor graduated from the MBA of NYU Stern and Industrial Engineering at the Monterrey Tech in Mexico with honors.

Professor Zapata Cantu’s research interests are focused on management and strategic planning in SMEs, the impact of information technology in the human resources area, knowledge management, and organizational learning. In addition to having participated in national and international congresses, her research has been published in indexed journals, such as the International Journal of Manpower, European Journal of International Management, the Journal of Knowledge Management, the Journal of Studies on Administration, University of Chile and Rio’s International Journal on Sciences of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Management. In 2008, she received Tecnológico de Monterrey’s Award for teaching and research in the Department of Administration and Finance. Professor Zapata has been Academic Associate Dean at EGADE Business School, MBA Director in Monterrey, Director of the International Liaison Office in Barcelona of Tecnológico de Monterrey, and she has been a visiting professor in numerous universities such as the Postgraduate University Institute of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the University of Alicante and University Carlos III (Spain) and ICN Business School (France). Dr. Zapata has been a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Conacyt since 2006 and was made a Level 2 researcher in January 2017.

Dr. Enciso González is an expert in institutional analysis and its impact on business, topics on which he has published a range of academic articles. He has also lectured on various economic and institutional themes, based on his academic background in the fields of international business and the global economy. He has worked in the public sector at the Ministry of Commerce and Industrial Development (now the Ministry of Economy) and the private sector in companies such as Nortel Networks, Tyco Electronics, Elcoteq and Global Trends de Mexico. He is a consultant on global business issues and full time professor at EGADE Business School. In addition to his role as Director of the Global OneMBA, EGADE MBA and the MBA in Global Business and Strategy at EGADE Business School Monterrey, Dr. Enciso directs various School project collaborations in international consortia of the EU including the projects PILA, EQUALITY, SUMA, UNIQUE, LA IPR HD and MUSE and is a member of the board of various organizations.
