Claudia Félix Sandoval (MA’95) has built an exemplary career in education, standing out for her transformational leadership and her commitment to shaping new generations.
She is Vice President of the Western Region of Tecnológico de Monterrey and Director of the Guadalajara Campus. With over 30 years of experience at Tec, she has held key positions that have strengthened the academic community across various regions of Mexico.
She has served as a Professor in the Business area, Director of Promotion and Communication at the Sonora Norte campus, Program Director for Entrepreneurship and Business Creation, Marketing Director for the Western Region, High School Division Director at the Sonora Norte campus, and General Director of both the Obregón and Sonora Norte campuses.
Claudia is the first woman to hold a regional vice presidency at Tecnológico de Monterrey, becoming a benchmark for female leadership. She actively participates in initiatives that promote gender equity within the institution and was honored with the Mujer Tec Award in 2021 for her career achievements.
She holds a PhD in Business Creation and Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration specialising in International Trade from Tec de Monterrey, and earned Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Marketing.
Beyond her academic career, she has worked as a consultant, manager, and director in companies in marketing, administration, and general management. Her industry experience includes CEMEX, Promotora de Hogares, and Provida Desarrollos roles.
She has authored and presented several scientific outreach articles and co-authored the book “Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Gender: Drivers of Transformation.”
A VISION OF CONSCIOUS AND HUMAN-CENTERED LEADERSHIP
In an interview with CONECTA, Claudia shared that she is passionate about conscious leadership because it allows for a culture of responsibility that honors her values and principles. She is enthusiastic about aligning the organization and its culture to achieve goals such as building a more human, innovative future focused on people’s well-being.
Regarding the opportunities she envisions in her leadership, she stated: “They help us grow and bring out the best in ourselves. They help us advance a culture of collaboration and responsibility. They help us dream and generate the right energy and direction.”
She added that developing ethical, conscious citizens with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to mobilize energy and resources to make bold visions a reality leads to knowledge generation. “And we translate that into practical solutions that improve the quality of life for people and the planet,” Claudia emphasized.
As an EXATEC EGADE, her example inspires new generations to lead with purpose, social awareness, and a transformative vision.
