From the beginning of her career, Ana Karen Ramírez (FTMBA'18) has demonstrated that technology can be a powerful tool for social transformation.

As the founder and CEO of Epic Queen, she has dedicated her career to closing the gender gap in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and inspiring girls and women to develop their potential in the tech industry.

Epic Queen is not just a startup but an educational movement that has impacted over 70,000 girls and women in Latin America.

Ana Karen has encouraged more women to explore and lead in technology through boot camps, hackathons, science fairs, and mentorship programs.

"We have created safe learning spaces where thousands of women dare to dream of a future in STEM, overcoming barriers and generating innovative solutions," shares Ana Karen.

Her leadership has earned her international recognition. In 2019, she received the EXATEC EGADE Merit Award; in 2020, she was named one of MIT Technology Review's Innovators Under 35; in 2023, she won the Women in Tech Global Award in the "Highest Impact Initiative" category.

Additionally, she has been recognized as one of the 100 entrepreneurs of Mexico by ASEM and was invited to meet with the First Lady of the United States for her contribution to the STEM sector.

EDUCATION AS A DRIVER OF CHANGE

Ana Karen, a Bachelor of Digital Arts graduate from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Full-Time MBA alumna from EGADE Business School, has leveraged her education to amplify her impact.

"EGADE provided me with a network that consists of friends and partners today. It gave me a strategic vision of leadership in business, focusing on the importance of positive social impact in society," she explains.

Her interest in democratizing tech education led her to develop digital content, using podcast platforms and her YouTube channel to amplify women's voices in technology and inspire new generations.

LEADERSHIP FOR A NEW ERA

Ana Karen is convinced that the future of business will be more sustainable, inclusive, and human.

"We are entering an era where leaders must not only innovate but also inspire, promote empathy, and embrace diversity as a fundamental advantage," she states.

Her leadership vision has created a ripple effect of transformation in STEM, paving the way for women in technology and driving significant change in the industry.

Through Epic Queen, Ana Karen continues to demonstrate that leadership is not just about personal success but about creating impact and opening opportunities for future generations.

As part of the EXATEC EGADE community, she inspires new leaders to challenge boundaries and transform the world through technology.
