Biography

Dr. José Manuel Maraboto Quepons has a 38-year career at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he has held various positions, including Department Chair in the administrative area, Program Director, and Associate Professor at the Undergraduate Business School on the Monterrey campus and at EGADE Business School.

He currently serves as Chair of the Department of Strategy and Leadership at EGADE Business School. He was the Founding Director of the Master in Business Management program and National Coordinator of the Business Administration Academy of the ITESM system, where he led the design of the 2011 curriculum for the Bachelor in Business Administration (LAE) program.

Dr. Maraboto has extensive experience in Executive Education and Consulting, both in Mexico and abroad. He has delivered training programs for companies such as Grupo ALFA, Cervecería Cuauhtémoc-Moctezuma, General Motors de México, GRUMA, Grupo FEMSA, the Mexican Hotel Association of Nuevo León, Prisma Hotel Group, Hotel “El Panamá” (Panama), Grupo Tigo (El Salvador), Volkswagen de México, Roche Laboratories, TERNIUM, among others.

Since 2023, he has been a visiting professor at Universidad de los Andes, serving on the faculty of the Executive Education program in Senior Management and Strategic Leadership, taught in the cities of Bogotá, Cartagena, and Medellín. Since 2018, he has also served as Academic Leader of the Advanced Management Program, part of the Executive Education offerings at EGADE Business School.
