Biography

Professor Eduardo Enrique Aguiñaga Maldonado focuses his research on sustainability and innovation, with a particular emphasis on the circular economy. His expertise in this field led him to serve as Circular Economy Leader at HEINEKEN Mexico, where he spearheaded the company’s transition strategy toward this new economic model.

As a member of Mexico’s National System of Researchers, he has authored numerous scientific articles published in academic journals such as The Journal of Cleaner Production, Management Research, and The Journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management.

He has collaborated on various consulting projects focused on waste valorization in Mexico and Latin America, contributing sustainable solutions with business and environmental impact.

At EGADE Business School, he served as National Director of Full-Time Programs, overseeing the Master in Business Management and EGADE Full-Time MBA programs.

In 2025, he received a Highly Commended mention in the Teaching Award category of the Responsible Business Education Awards, granted by the British outlet Financial Times (FT), for his course Responsible Leadership.

He was also honored with the prestigious national award Profesor Inspirador 2024, the highest distinction granted by Tecnológico de Monterrey to faculty members for excellence in teaching and their commitment to developing responsible leaders.
