Martha Angélica León Alvarado
She holds a PhD in Financial Sciences from EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey; she has a specialty in Applied Statistics from the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Systems Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, where she obtained the Alfonso Caso medal, awarded to the best grade average of the generation. She also holds a bachelor degree in Actuarial Science from the same University. She was director of Pension and Social Security Policy in the Insurance, Pensions and Social Security Unit of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, where she carried out the valuation and analysis of reforms to pension systems of agencies and institutions, to improve its financial sustainability. She was also part of the General Department of Financial Planning and Economic Studies in the National Commission for the Pension Saving System, where she developed proposals to improve SIEFORE’s indicators of diversification, liquidity, performance and risk. In the private sector, she has experience in Seguros Banorte, Casa de Bolsa Valmex, and consulting with a focus on financial risk management and business intelligence. She has participated in the development of research on issues related to pension systems and the Pension Saving System.
