Dr. Velarde currently holds the position of Director of Academic Programs at EGADE Business School. His fields of teaching and research include macroeconomics and microeconomics, corporate finance, bond markets and capital markets. He has published on various economic and financial themes including various papers on the valuation of public companies listed on the Mexican stock Exchange and case studies at a national and international level, including “México:¿Se hubiera podido prevenir la crisis de 1994?” and “Selling? That is easy". In the corporate world, he has worked as an analyst at Vector Casa de Bolsa and as Deputy Director of Economic and Financial Studies in GBM Grupo Bursátil Mexicano. In the public sector, at federal level, he was a member of the group of economic advisors of the Ministry of Economy. He has also been an economic and financial advisor to private companies and has participated as a mentor and consultant in company incubators and accelerators.
Jorge Vera holds a Ph.D. in Management Sciences, with honors, from the National University of Mexico (UNAM) and an MBA from the Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He also holds a degree in experimental psychology from the National University of Mexico (UNAM). Before his career in academe, he had made his mark as a market research consultant. Currently, Jorge Vera is a research professor in the Tecnológico de Monterrey Business School, Mexico City Campus. He has taught, at graduate and undergraduate levels, subjects such as marketing research, empirical research methodology, instrument design, strategic marketing, brand management and multivariate methods for marketing decisions. At the EGADE Business School, he is currently leader-coordinator of the Research Group (GIEE) on Consumer Behavior and Conscious Marketing. He has been an active member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) of the National Science and Technology Council of Mexico (CONACyT) since 2006. He has published several research articles in scientific reviews on topics such as consumer behavior, service/product performance, consumer involvement, perceived value, brand perceptions and marketing strategies.
He is currently director of the Regional Department of Management and Leadership of the Business School in the South Region of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, he has a doctorate in Government and Public Administration from the Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset of Madrid Spain.He has been a consultant, researcher and professor in the areas of planning, strategy, transformation, competitiveness and regional development for the past 19 years, in addition to having designed and facilitated various projects and processes of strategic development, competitiveness and educational innovation. He has participated in more than 25 consulting projects in Mexico and Central America, and he has more than 10 publications in specialized magazines. He actively participates as a columnist in various media.
Jorge Ramos Mercado's research focuses on dynamic information economics. He was a research associate at the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College from 2014 to 2017 and a research assistant at the Center for Opportunity and Inclusive Growth at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 2019 to 2021. He has worked with multiple researchers on projects ranging from industrial organization and the implications of government programs on well-being. Within his teaching experience, he was an instructor of Industrial Organization and Cost-Benefit Analysis for undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota.
Professor Núñez Mora’s research and teaching focuses on the field of financial risk. As a researcher, he actively participates in the publication of articles in different national and international journals, books, and book chapters. Professor Núñez Mora is a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores, Level II, Conacyt. He is Director of the EGADE Business School’s Journal of Administration, Finance, and Economics and he has directed 10 theses in the last five years for students of the Ph.D in Financial Sciences program. In addition to his teaching activity at EGADE, Professor Núñez has been the Director of the Ph.D. in Management Sciences. He has also carried out consultancy in Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus, in topics related to the macro-economic impact of pension reforms in Mexico.
Adjunct professor in the avenue of enterprising professor. Teaching subjects: Entrepreneurial Leadership Development, Selected Topics of Senior Business Management, Administration and Innovation. Participating in committees for the development of new study plans known as TEC 21. Instructor in the Executive Education division, on the topics of innovation and intrapreneurship. Member of the Academic Senate as of January 2019.
Dr. Amorós Espinosa is an expert in entrepreneurship and new business development. He currently holds the role of Director of Doctoral Programs and Co Head of the Entrepreneurship and Leadership Strategic Research Group (GIEES). In pursuit of both the interpretation and popularization research work, Dr. Amorós has written more than 40 academic articles which have been published in major international magazines, such as Small Business Economics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, the Journal of Small Business Management, Technovation, the Journal of Business Research, the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research, amongst others. In addition, he is associate editor of the Journal of Business Venturing Insights and of the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal. He is also co-author of more than 30 monographs on entrepreneurial dynamics, some in cooperation with key institutions such as the World Economic Forum. In addition, he is a member of the SNI (Sistema National de Invetigadores), Level I, Conacyt and National System of Researchers of a visiting professor in several Latin American and European universities. Dr. Amorós has been a member of the Board of Directors of GEM Global and is part of the research committee of the same project. In his work within the GEM project, he has participated in the evaluation of pro-entrepreneurship public policies in a range of countries. He is Vice-President of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management, and member of the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the Academy of International Business and the International Council of Small Business.
