Dr. Porras is the National Director of the MBA programs at EGADE Business School.

His research on logistics systems and inventories has been published in internationally renowned specialist journals and has focused on lectures he has presented at national and international congresses. 

As an expert and leader in the logistics field, Professor Porras was the Director of Research (2011-2014) at the Innovation Center in Logistics and Commerce, Tecnológico de Monterrey, which comprises the network of research centers in Logistics of the Supply Chain and Logistics Institute at the University Georgia Tech. He has also participated in consulting projects for industry in logistics and supply chain-related topics. He was also a member of the SNI (Sistema National de Investigadores, Level 1, Conacyt (2007-2012).

Luis Jacob Escobar Saldívar

Certified European Financial Analyst (CEFA) by the European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies (EFFAS), Jacob Saldivar is the director of the Master in Business Analytics and the Graduate Degree in Digital Strategy. He is also a member of the Group of Strategic Research Focused on Finance and Economics, at EGADE Business School.
 
His outstanding career and global vision are based on his extensive academic background. He studied Mechatronic Engineering and graduated from the Master of Science in Quality Systems and Productivity, specialized in Optimization at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Also holds a Master in International Finance and a Data Analytics specialty from prestigious global institutions such as the Spanish Institute of Financial Analysts (IEAF-FEF, Madrid) and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
 
Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Business Administration at EGADE Business School, which reflects his everlasting passion for knowledge and research.

On a corporate level, Jacob has worked for Auric Consulting, Ternium, FEMSA Comercio (OXXO), MSCI, Afore InverCap and Púrpura Analytics, mostly in portfolio and risk management, strategic planning, data analytics, financial analysis and decision making. His areas of expertise also comprises other topics such as investment and operations management, valuation of derivative instruments, corporate sustainability and business analytics.

His research, articles and fields of interest are also focused on financial programming and modeling, data science, financial markets and corporate social responsibility.

Federico Trigos

Dr. Trigos Salazar is is a Research Professor of the Department of Marketing and Business Intelligence at EGADE Business School and Leader of the Thematic Area Research Group (GAT) in Transdisciplinary Analysis of Value Chains and Global Opportunities at the Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Dr. Trigos Salazar has published broadly on areas related to the sustainable use of quantitative tools to maximize corporate performance. His research interests range from business analytics, industrial and corporate statistics, simulation and math programming, to economic engineering, corporate finance, and investments. He is a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Level 1, Conacyt, and he is also a member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences. 

In the corporate field, he served as Director of Organizational Engineering and Director of Development of the Organization Gates Rubber Mexico, where his team qualified for the final stage of Charles C. Gates award; a major international award for teamwork and best practice. Professor Trigos has also acted as a consultant for companies including Aventis Pharma, Interjet, and Banco Azteca.

In addition to his teaching activity at EGADE Business School, Professor Trigos has held several managerial roles at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Director of Research and Graduate Programs, Director of the Doctoral Program in Industrial Engineering, Director of the Masters in Industrial Engineering, and Director of the international bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. He has also been the academic advisor for student teams that have obtained first and third places in the International Software Simulation Competition organized by the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE) and the Rockwell Software.
