Professor Castaño has had an outstanding academic career as professor and researcher in the areas of marketing and consumer behavior. Her research line focuses in the adoption of new products and brands, the cultural meaning of consumption and decisions affecting consumer wellbeing. Her research works have been published in the Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Marketing Letters, and Journal of Consumer Marketing, among others. In addition to her role as Dean of the College in EGADE Business School, Miss Castaño has been Principal of the venue Monterrey of EGADE Business School, as well as Academic Director and Director of the Master’s in Marketing in such institution. In the corporate field, she has occupied several managerial positions in GAMESA Corporation.

Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Analysis at the Graduate Business School

Dr. Raúl J. Ruiz-Cabrera is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing and Analysis and Part-time Professor in the Vice-Rector's Office for Online Programs at the Monterrey Campus of Tecnológico de Monterrey. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in face-to-face and online formats for these departments in the areas of Marketing, Internal Marketing, Product Development and Strategy. In more than 30 years in the academy, Dr. Ruiz has been Part-time and Full-time Professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey, EGADE Business School and Universidad Tec Milenio. He has been invited as Visiting Professor to Tulane University in the USA, the Universidad Americana de Managua and the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana in Honduras. He was Academic Director of Executive Education at EGADE Business School from 2017 to 2019 and director of the Academic Department of Marketing from 2010 to 2011, and has collaborated in the design processes of the curricula of the Marketing and Advertising majors at ITESM and Marketing at TecMilenio.

René Cabral

DIRECTOR OF THE FINANCE AND BUSINESS ECONOMICS DEPARTMENT

The research work of Professor Cabral Torres is directed towards the study of public finance, monetary policy, and the interaction of labout markets, as well as the manner in which these three areas affect the economic development of regions and countries. His most recent research works have been published in journals such as the European Journal of Political Economy, Contemporary Economic Policy, International Journal of Educational Development, Annals of Regional Science and Journal of Policy Modelling, among others. He is also assistant editor in the Mexican Journal of Economics and Finance (REMEF) IMEF and a member of the editorial committee of the journal Economic Research. Mr. Cabral is a member of the SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores), Level II. He has also been a consultant for the World Bank and has participated in consulting projects for companies such as Minera Autlan and Axtel, institutions such as the Consulate of Canada and Metropolitan Water Fund of Monterrey, as well as for the state governments of Aguascalientes, Tabasco, Chiapas and Nuevo León.

Renzo Casapía

Renzo Casapía has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of San Agustin in Peru and holds an MBA from HEC University of Montreal, Canada.  Renzo has occupied leadership roles in Human Resources, Sales and Marketing in top multinational companies such as Citigroup and IBM in Peru, Mexico and Canada.    He has been a keynote speaker and panelist at serval global business and academic events. He is currently the Managing Director for Cengage/National Geographic Learning in Latin America. Prior to assuming this role, Renzo was Managing Director of UVM Sur, the largest and most representative operation of Laureate International Universities with16,000 students. In all his roles, he has leveraged technology and data to generate change and innovation.  He currently teaches Business Intelligence, People and Data Analytics at the MBA of EGADE (Tec de Monterrey) in Mexico City. Renzo is also a board member at Inroads Mexico, an international organization oriented to provide leadership opportunities to undeserved university students in Mexico. Renzo is Canadian and Peruvian, is happily married with two daughters (Andrea y Lucianna), enjoys languages, teaching and social work.

Dr. Ricardo E. Buitrago R. is a Research Professor in Strategy and International Management at EGADE Business School of Tecnológico de Monterrey. Furthermore, Dr. Buitrago is affiliated with the School of Management at Universidad del Rosario in Colombia as an associate researcher. Before joining EGADE Business School, Dr. Buitrago served as Program Head and Dean in Universities in Colombia. In addition, he has been a visiting professor in different universities in Latin America. He is a member of the Business Association for Latin American Studies (BALAS) Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). He is also the ambassador for the Andean region of the IE-Scholars network. His research interests are focused on the junction between international political economy, institutions, strategy, and international business. He has served as editor and reviewer for the Journal of Business Research, International Business Review, European Management Journal, and International Studies of Management & Organization, among others.

Professor of Leadership for Sustainability and Scenarios for Innovation at EGADE Business School

Richard Wells is President of The Lexington Group, a company that consults to senior management on topics related to “sustainable competitiveness”—long-term, socially and environmentally sustainable national and business competitiveness. He has consulted to major and startup companies in the U.S and Latin America, the World Bank and the Interamerican Development Bank, business organizations including Mexico ́s Consejo Coordinador Empresarial, The Conference Board and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, as well as to national and state government agencies. Since 2012, he has taught at Mexico ́s EGADE Business School of the Tecnológico de Monterrey where he has taught courses on “Leadership for Sustainability” and “Scenarios for Innovation” as well as executive education courses in innovation and strategy. He is recently the author of a monograph, Mexico Facing the Future, published by the Woodrow Wilson Center Mexico Institute that examines the challenges Mexico faces in a future knowledge economy. He is a graduate of Harvard College and has a Master of Science in Management (MBA) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.

Roberto R. Barrera has held executive positions in numerous Mexican public and private organizations and is an international speaker. Dr. Barrera specializes in markets and financial institutions, and energy, and publishes in these areas. He received the Special Award prize for his research at the 2020 International IMEF-EY Conference. Dr. Barrera has been President of the CFA Society of Mexico, President of the MIT Club of Mexico, Member of the Educational Council at MIT, among other voluntary activities. He is Course Professor at EGADE and has taught graduate, undergraduate, and professional courses in other institutions. Dr. Barrera holds a PhD in Financial Sciences from EGADE, an MSc in Management (Finance) from MIT, a LLM in Constitutional Law, a LLB and a BS in Engineering. He has earned the CFA and FRM professional designations.
