Under the theme “Innovation as a driver of Equality and Inclusion,” the third edition of the ESG Nuevo León Forum took place on March 3 at the Monterrey site of EGADE Business School, bringing together business leaders, experts, and public sector representatives to discuss the role of innovation, financing, and sustainability in transforming organizations.
During the event, promoted by the Secretariat of Equality and Inclusion of the Government of the State of Nuevo León, the Corporate Equality and Inclusion Award 2025 was presented for the first time. The recognition was granted to 26 companies for their initiatives in social impact and sustainability.
Among the companies recognized were Clarios, Bimbo, Kia, Fundación DeAcero, Grupo GP, Cintermex, Afirme, and Arzyz, as well as other organizations that have integrated equality, inclusion, and sustainability practices into their business strategies.
As part of the forum, EGADE Business School announced the launch of its Master in Sustainable Business, a program designed to train executives capable of integrating sustainability as a strategic pillar and generating long-term value within their organizations.
“Sustainability is not a trend; it is a redefinition of leadership. Our responsibility as academia is to ensure that those who will hold executive positions in the coming years are prepared not only to grow, but also to generate impact,” said Eva Guerra, Associate Academic Dean of EGADE Business School.
The forum agenda featured several panels in which experts discussed new financing pathways, business innovation, and the creation of sustainable value.
One of these sessions, titled “Innovation and the creation of sustainable value: Lessons from the field,” was moderated by Eduardo Aguiñaga, professor in the Department of Strategy and Leadership at EGADE Business School. Panelists included Ana Margarita Garza, Director of Public Affairs for LATAM at Clarios Mexico; Leticia Pacheco, Global Director of Institutional Relations and Human Capital at Grupo Bimbo; Leonor Quiroz, Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Social Impact at PepsiCo Mexico; and Magdalena García, Sustainability Manager at Grupo DeAcero.
During the event, Martha Herrera, Secretary of Equality and Inclusion of the State of Nuevo León, emphasized that forums like this create platforms for collaboration that strengthen business ecosystems and foster more inclusive development models.
“Innovation applied to social projects is already part of the strategic architecture of the most visionary companies in the world. Companies that integrate equality, inclusion, and sustainability into their operations and supply chains strengthen their reputation, retain talent more effectively, and gain access to new international markets,” she said.
The Third ESG Nuevo León Forum brought together around 300 business leaders, executives, and specialists from areas such as sustainability, human resources, finance, innovation, public affairs, and academia, all interested in integrating ESG principles to achieve competitive advantage for organizations.
