Horacio Arredondo, Dean of EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey, has been appointed to the EFMD Global Americas Advisory Board, a leading international network for accreditation and quality development in management education.
As a member of this advisory board, Arredondo will collaborate with a select group of 11 academic leaders from business schools in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile. The board’s mission is to provide strategic guidance to management education institutions across the Americas, addressing the region’s unique challenges and opportunities.
“I am honored to join the EFMD Global Americas Advisory Board, a network that fosters excellence and collaboration in business education at the international level. From this platform, I will contribute to deepening our understanding of the specific challenges faced across the Americas and to proposing strategic paths to strengthen ties among accredited institutions in the region. This is a great opportunity to further EGADE’s vision of being a relevant player in the evolution of business leadership in Latin America,” said Arredondo.
The board’s objectives include enhancing EFMD Global’s understanding of business education in the Americas, promoting innovation and continuous learning within the region’s institutions, strengthening collaboration between business schools and companies, and fostering the development of socially responsible leaders and managers.
Arredondo’s appointment coincides with his recent participation in the 2025 EFMD Global Americas Annual Conference, held from September 17 to 19 in Lima, Peru, under the theme “Collaborate and Create: Shaping Tomorrow Together.” During the panel “Perspectives Across the Region on Educational Innovation,” the EGADE Dean shared how the school is driving innovation within its educational ecosystems and expanding its transformative impact.
EFMD Global — formerly known as the European Foundation for Management Development — is a membership organization comprising over 30,000 management professionals from academia, business, public service, and consultancy worldwide. Through its networks, accreditation services such as EQUIS, and platforms for research, information, and collaboration, EFMD promotes best practices and the development of socially responsible leaders.
EGADE Business School holds the EQUIS accreditation, in addition to AMBA and AACSB, which collectively comprise the prestigious Triple Crown — a distinction held by only 1% of business schools worldwide.
