Four alumni of EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey were recognized by Forbes México in its July edition through two of the publication's leading features on financial leadership: the "Mexico's Best CFOs 2026" ranking and the "CFOs to Watch 2026" list.
In the "Mexico's Best CFOs 2026" ranking, Luis Antonio Zetter Zermeño (MA'98), CFO of Megacable and an alum of the Master in Administration, ranked No. 7; Jorge Antonio Touché Zambrano (MA'98), CFO of Grupo Lamosa through April 2026 and also an alum of the Master in Administration, ranked No. 15; and Saúl Castañeda de Hoyos (MA'02), Chief Financial Officer of Grupo Industrial Saltillo (GIS) and an alum of the Master in Administration, ranked No. 20.
According to Forbes México, the role of the chief financial officer has undergone a profound transformation over the past decade.
"Today's CFO is no longer simply the person overseeing the company's finances, but the executive responsible for connecting financial, tax, regulatory, operational, and technological variables to support decision-making at the highest level," the publication states.
The ranking recognizes the country's top 20 finance executives and is based on the Financial Management Index, developed by Forbes México for this report using data from S&P Capital IQ and the Mexican Stock Exchange (Bolsa Mexicana de Valores). The methodology evaluates executives through ten performance indicators and includes professionals who serve in roles equivalent to Chief Financial Officer.
Forbes Also Highlights Emerging Finance Leaders
In addition to the main ranking, Ulises Medel (MAF'18), Head of Finance for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean at Google and a graduate of the Master in Finance, was recognized in the "CFOs to Watch 2026" list, developed by The 1% of Financial Leaders in collaboration with Forbes México.
The list recognizes finance professionals for their leadership, career achievements, and contributions to the CFO community, highlighting executives whose influence continues to grow within the business ecosystem.
With these recognitions, the four EGADE alumni join a distinguished group of finance leaders acknowledged for advancing the evolving role of the CFO, where strategic vision, innovation, and long-term value creation have become defining responsibilities.
