EXATEC EGADE Ana Karen Ramírez named among Expansión’s “30 Business Promises of 2026”

Ana Karen Ramírez (FTMBA’18), founder and CEO of Epic Queen and alumna of the EGADE Full-Time MBA, was included in Expansión’s list of “30 Business Promises of 2026,” published in its April issue.
The selection recognizes young leaders whose work is already generating tangible impact on Mexico’s growth and transformation through ideas, knowledge, innovation, and leadership in their respective industries.
Through Epic Queen, Ramírez has focused her career on closing the gender gap in STEM—science, technology, engineering, and mathematics—and inspiring girls and young women to develop their potential in the technology industry.
According to Expansión, the initiative began as a community created to address the low participation of women in the tech sector and has evolved into a platform that now delivers workshops, hackathons, and educational programs that have engaged thousands of girls across Mexico and Latin America.
“If no one ever showed you that you could pursue science or technology, it is very hard to imagine yourself there. That is why it is important to open those possibilities from childhood,” Ramírez shared in an interview with the publication.
Her leadership has previously been recognized nationally and internationally. In 2019, she received the EXATEC EGADE Merit Award; in 2020, she was named among the Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review; and in 2023, she received the Women in Tech Global Award in the Most Impactful Initiative category.
Today, Ramírez describes Epic Queen as a movement that seeks to help more girls see science and technology as a real possibility for their future.
Looking ahead, she also envisions supporting new generations of entrepreneurs and investing in ventures led by women in science and technology.
