PERSISTENCE, HUMAN LEADERSHIP, AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In his keynote speech, Martínez Cuevas urged graduates to embrace persistent, ethical, and deeply human leadership, especially in a global context marked by complexity and uncertainty.
He emphasized that persistence is the key attribute behind academic success, noting that completing a graduate degree involves much more than acquiring technical knowledge. “Talent counts, but perseverance counts twice,” he affirmed, recognizing the diverse backgrounds and life stages of the graduating class.
Martínez Cuevas highlighted that earning a graduate degree carries a social responsibility. “Today, having a master’s or doctoral degree is not a privilege—it is a responsibility to our environment, our country, and future generations,” he stated, stressing that contemporary leadership is measured not only by results but also by the capacity to act with ethics and human values.
EXCELLENCE AS A COLLECTIVE HABIT
Representing the December 2025 Class, Rafael Abraham Moreno Cabrera, graduate of the Master in Business Analytics, delivered a speech focusing on building excellence as a habit through conscious decisions, discipline, and collective commitment.
He reflected on how studying at EGADE Business School entails a commitment to more human and strategic leadership, aware of the impact of professional decisions in a constantly evolving global context.
“Sometimes our light fades, but it reignites through our encounters with others,” he expressed, recognizing that the academic degree also represents the shared effort of a community.
He concluded that graduation is not the end but the beginning of a new chapter in which their decisions will have a direct impact on organizations and society. He called for leadership with purpose, innovation, and contributions to a Mexico and a world that need leaders capable of combining excellence with humanity.
GRADUATION MARKS A NEW SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Before administering the graduate oath, Guerra Leal emphasized that the ceremony represents not only the completion of a graduate program, but also the beginning of a new social responsibility as EXATEC EGADE.
She noted that this generation graduates in a challenging and demanding context, and that their graduation takes on special significance as it coincides with the 30th anniversary of EGADE Business School, an institution that has built “a legacy of excellence, leadership, and commitment to Latin America.”
Guerra affirmed that EGADE seeks to continue forming leaders capable of challenging the status quo and creating positive change, by combining economic prosperity with social and environmental well-being. “It’s not only about forming competent professionals, but also conscious leaders,” she said.
She also noted that the graduate oath is a public declaration of principles based on coherence, integrity, and ethics as the foundation of leadership. “Ethics is not an add-on to leadership; it is its foundation,” she concluded.
The Santa Fe ceremony followed the EGADE graduation in Monterrey, held on December 13, and will be followed by the Guadalajara graduation ceremony on December 17.
