Running can also be a way to exercise purpose-driven leadership. In its third edition in Monterrey, EGADE Business School held EGADE Run 4 The Future 2026 on February 15, a race for a cause that turned healthy coexistence and physical activity into a collective impact that transcends generations.
The race aimed to support the Global Latin American Leaders Scholarship, which empowers those who aspire to transform business in the region.
The event also served as a gathering point for around 1,700 participants, including alumni, students, faculty, staff, executives, families, and runners from the broader community, all united around a shared cause.
The course along Circuito Valle Oriente began and ended in front of the EGADE Business School Monterrey campus, where the community cheered participants with applause and encouragement in an atmosphere of celebration and solidarity.
The 10K and 5K distances attracted enthusiastic and experienced runners, while the 2K category, designed as a family- and pet-friendly race, welcomed participants of all ages, reinforcing the event's inclusive spirit.
The official start was led by Horacio Arredondo, Dean of EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey; Majida Khoury, Director of Alumni Relations and the Career and Professional Development Center at EGADE Business School; as well as Richard Colter and Manuel Morales, President and Vice President of the EXATEC EGADE Association Board, who emphasized the value of community as a driver of impact.
In the men’s and women’s divisions, first-place winners were Simón Martínez and Daniela González Torres in the 10K category; Juan Carlos Guerrero Rangel and Mayra Garza Cantú in the 5K; and Fernando García Landois Villanueva and Carla Nailey Pérez in the 2K.
Health4life by TecSalud sponsored the awards for the top three finishers in each men’s and women’s category: first place received a Cardio Fit Plus Check-Up; second place received a Healthy Man and Healthy Woman Check-Up; and third place received a Basic Cardio Fit Check-Up. Additional sponsors included Powerade, BYD, Lumaris by GM Capital, Frisa, Steelcase, Cintermex, and Chobani.
Full race results are available on the Trotime portal.
After consolidating its presence in Monterrey, EGADE Run 4 The Future will expand this year with a new edition in Guadalajara, to be held for the first time on May 24 at Bosque Los Colomos, reaffirming that purpose-driven leadership is built step by step.
