TE 2025 International Conference on Transdisciplinary Engineering

By JOSÉ ÁNGEL DE LA PAZ | EGADE BUSINESS SCHOOL

EGADE Business School hosted the 32nd edition of the International Conference on Transdisciplinary Engineering (TE2025), the annual academic event of the International Society of Transdisciplinary Engineering (ISTE), held from July 7 to 11 at its Monterrey site.

Under the theme "Transdisciplinarity for a Better World", the conference brought together over 60 researchers, professors, students, and industry leaders from 14 countries, aiming to address complex global challenges in engineering, sustainability, education, and digital transformation from a collaborative perspective.

This transdisciplinary approach focuses on solving complex problems by integrating academic and professional knowledge, qualitative and quantitative disciplines, and active stakeholder participation to generate holistic, applicable solutions that combine technical expertise with strategic management.

Throughout the five-day program, the conference featured more than 50 paper presentations, keynote speeches, workshops, and cultural activities, covering topics such as sustainability, conscious business, human-AI systems, educational innovation, and the future of engineering collaboration.

VOICES SHAPING THE GLOBAL CONVERSATION

Keynote speakers included Vicente Saiso, Global Vice President of Sustainability at CEMEX, and Rafaela Diegoli, Academic Vice President of Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Other featured speakers were Luis Gerardo González, Academic Director of the Center for Conscious Enterprises (CEC), and Edgar Barroso, Director of the Entrepreneurship and Transformation Lab (LET), both from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Workshops were led by researchers from City St George’s University of London, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, University of Tokyo, MIT, and Tecnológico de Monterrey.

Participants also enjoyed campus tours and cultural visits to the Santa Lucía Riverwalk, the Museum of Mexican History, and La Milarca Museum.
