EGADE Business School reaffirms its global commitment as a PRME Champion for the 2026–2027 period

EGADE Business School at Tecnológico de Monterrey reaffirmed its commitment to responsible management education after being selected to participate in the new PRME Champions cycle for the 2026–2027 period, an initiative that recognizes business schools demonstrating leadership and impact in sustainability, social responsibility, and institutional transformation.
For this new cycle, EGADE is the only business school in Mexico and one of only two in Latin America included in the global group of 50 institutions selected by the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative supported by the United Nations Global Compact to advance the development of responsible business leaders and contribute to the 2030 Agenda.
In a letter addressed to the PRME Secretariat, EGADE Business School Dean Horacio Arredondo highlighted that the Principles for Responsible Management Education are not only aligned with the school’s institutional purpose — to rethink the future of business to impact the sustainable development of Latin America — but also guide its academic, research, and engagement strategy.
“We have worked to deepen our commitment to Responsible Management Education by incorporating sustainable development, social impact, human flourishing, and conscious leadership as key concepts across our programs, teaching, research, and operations. Over the past three years, we have specifically focused on four Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals,” he said.
As part of these efforts, Arredondo highlighted the launch of the Master in Sustainable Business, which welcomed its first cohort in 2026, as well as the strengthening of the school’s faculty and the consolidation of a research group focused on sustainability.
According to PRME, institutions that are part of the PRME Champions group are recognized as thought and action leaders within the global responsible management education community, demonstrating innovation, collaboration, and impact in the transformation of their academic programs, research, partnerships, and institutional practices.
Over the next two years, participating schools will collaborate in joint initiatives, working groups, and strategic projects aimed at strengthening responsible management education and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, in line with the vision of the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
The mission of the PRME Champions group is to contribute to thought and action leadership in responsible management education worldwide. Participation in this select group allows institutions to collaborate on innovative projects and serve as advisors to PRME, the United Nations Global Compact, and the United Nations on issues related to sustainability, responsible leadership, and business education.
As a PRME signatory, EGADE Business School is part of a global network of institutions committed to developing business leaders who are aware of their economic, social, and environmental impact. Since 2019, Christiane Molina, Research Professor in the Department of Strategy and Leadership, has represented the school before PRME and has served on the PRME Global Chapter Council.
Founded in 2007, PRME has become the largest United Nations–supported platform dedicated to raising the profile of sustainability in business schools and strengthening the contribution of business education to sustainable development worldwide.
