Companies Connect with Master in Business Management Talent in a New Edition of Practicums
Eight organizations and companies from diverse sectors launched their participation in a new edition of the Practicums program of the Master in Business Management (MBM) at EGADE Business School, taking the first step in a strategic collaboration aimed at addressing real business challenges through graduate-level talent.
The onboarding session was held on January 16 in Monterrey, with the support of the EGADE Business School Career Hub, and was led by Pedro Carreón, Director of the Master in Business Management, as a space for academic, methodological, and operational alignment ahead of the formal start of student-led projects.
During the session, representatives from the participating organizations and companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves, meet EGADE faculty members who will serve as academic supervisors, and review the guidelines for program execution, as well as the working dynamics and collaboration model that will guide the projects throughout the Practicums process.
The organizations participating in this edition are: Arzyz, Grupo Quimmco, Hallow Energy, Hello Management, John Deere, OXXO, Servicio Industrial de Motores (SIMSA), and Urrea.
Carreón explained that the Practicums program is a core component of the MBM, as it connects academic learning with real-world business practice. “Student teams apply their knowledge, analytical frameworks, and leadership skills to address a complex strategic challenge faced by a partner organization,” he noted.
The project unfolds over the final three academic periods of the MBM. Each team, composed of four students, dedicates 100 to 120 hours per student, under the joint supervision of an EGADE faculty supervisor and a company-appointed tutor. The process concludes with the delivery of a comprehensive strategic report and a formal presentation before a panel of professors and industry experts.
The Master in Business Management is an intensive and transformative graduate program designed for recent graduates seeking to enter the professional world with a competitive advantage, developing strategic skills, global thinking, and hands-on experience with real companies. In this context, the Practicums operate as corporate immersions, where students are positioned not as task executors, but as professionals who propose strategic solutions grounded in rigorous analysis.
Through this institutional kickoff of the Practicums program, EGADE Business School strengthens its engagement with the business ecosystem and consolidates an innovative educational model in which organizations gain access to talent with strong analytical training and strategic vision, while students prepare—at subsequent stages—to tackle real-world challenges that enhance their professional judgment and decision-making capabilities in complex environments.
