Among her most notable positions are Global Marketing Director for Oncology and Commercial Director for Oncology in Latin America, which preceded her current role as Country President for the Southern Cone at AstraZeneca, where she leads operations across five countries: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia.

Her leadership has been key in transforming business results while positively impacting the lives of thousands of patients.

Leticia holds both an EGADE MBA and a Master’s in Marketing from EGADE Business School, as well as a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey.

In 2021, she was honored with the EXATEC EGADE Distinguished Achievement Award, which recognizes alumni whose professional trajectory creates a positive impact on society.

“In these unprecedented times we're living through, where health is paramount, the role of professionals in leadership positions within the healthcare sector is crucial. Today, more than ever, the country and the world need leaders and companies that generate a positive impact on society,” she expressed upon receiving the award.

A HUMAN-CENTERED AND TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP VISION

Leticia sees EGADE Business School as a turning point in her career.

EGADE had a significant impact on the way I lead and on how I perceive the role of business in society,” she affirmed.

She highlights how the school gave her a strategic, ethical, and innovation-driven perspective, along with a global and multidisciplinary vision to tackle business challenges in an interconnected world.

“It gave me the tools to understand how companies can create a positive impact on communities and the environment while remaining competitive and profitable. This 'shared value' approach has allowed me to align financial goals with social and environmental well-being,” she shared.

Throughout her career, she has prioritized accelerating access to innovative treatments in different markets, building collaborations with governments, NGOs, and local associations. She has also championed a culture of innovation, diversity, and continuous improvement, nurturing empowered, resilient, and collaborative teams.

“Leading in such a dynamic environment requires not only a clear vision, but also the ability to build and nurture teams that can quickly adapt and continue driving progress during times of uncertainty,” she explained.

Additionally, she has fostered an inclusive work model that values diverse perspectives and experiences.

“The ability to learn from failures and celebrate successes has strengthened team cohesion and trust, turning them into a true engine of change and transformation,” she added.

PURPOSE-DRIVEN LEADERSHIP FOR THE FUTURE

From her perspective, the future of business will be shaped by three key forces: technology, sustainability, and shifting social expectations. Leticia believes that tomorrow’s leaders must be change agents capable of aligning business objectives with a genuine commitment to society and the environment.

“Future leadership must be transformational, with long-term vision, authenticity, empathy, and the ability to anticipate market trends. Organizations must foster cultures that value innovation, agility, collaboration, and social responsibility,” she emphasized.

Leticia has been repeatedly recognized by Expansión magazine as one of the 100 Most Powerful Women in Mexico. Additionally, in 2000, the Sonoran represented Mexico at the Miss Universe international beauty pageant.

Her story embodies the spirit of transformation, excellence, and social commitment that defines the EXATEC EGADE community.
