EGADE Business School - Tecnológico de Monterrey has been recognized, for the eleventh consecutive year, as the number one business school in Mexico and Latin America, according to the Eduniversal Business Schools Ranking 2018. EGADE is the only school in the ranking to have maintained its regional leadership position for 11 years. The award ceremony took place during the Eduniversal World Convention held in Dubrovnik (Croatia).
EGADE Business School is the only school in Mexico and one of the four in Latin America included in the highest category “5 Palmes of Excellence”, in which Eduniversal classifies the top 100 business schools in the world, considering them to be “universal business schools with strong global influence”.
The annual Eduniversal ranking rates the best 1000 business schools from 154 countries, dividing them into five categories, considering their level of internationalization. The deans or directors of these schools rate each of the participating schools.
Regionally, EGADE Business School enjoys the highest rating by the deans, with 414%, a significant increase over the previous year (369%). It is followed by FGV-EAESP São Paulo School of Business Administration, Brazil, with 335% and the School of Business Administration of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, with 335%, among other Latin American business schools.
On the global level, EGADE Business School is among the Top 40 business schools in the world, ahead of prestigious schools such as Stern School of Business, New York University (United States), Imperial College Business School (UK) and Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia (Canada).
This is the second recognition the school has received recently, after last month’s QS Global MBA Rankings 2019, which rates EGADE Business School’s MBA as the best in Latin America, and consolidated the position of its Master in Finance as the regional leader and 43rd on the global level.
Educational innovation for the development of entrepreneurial leaders
“The schools that are at the vanguard of business education must lead the design of new educational models to address the two major challenges faced by organizations today: growth and talent. To generate growth, companies in Latin America must transform and to transform they need executive talent, as well as a solid knowledge base, to develop fundamental competencies in order to face up to the current competitive environment, such as: critical thinking, digital skills, resilience, the capacity to work in complex, remote and multicultural teams, relational competencies and entrepreneurial leadership, among others. This is the innovative model we are exploring at EGADE Business School and Tecnológico de Monterrey,” commented the Dean of EGADE Business School, Ignacio de la Vega.
“Our approach is based on the relevance and updating of pedagogical models, which are far more experiential and with a key role played by technology for the design of educational activities, delivery of knowledge and competencies, and assessment, incorporating educational innovations together with with Big Data, augmented reality and microlearning, among others,” the dean added.
“This new recognition by Eduniversal reinforces our commitment to the profound transformation of the educational paradigms for business worldwide, in order to continue responding to the challenges of our era,” indicated Ignacio de la Vega.
